Lead Line Cook
JOB TITLE: Lead Line Cook
DEPARTMENT: Kitchen
REPORTS TO: Executive Chef
JOB SUMMARY:
Assist Executive Chef and Sous Chef in the supervising of Ala Carte & Special Events as well as kitchen closing duties.
PRINCIPLE OBJECTIVE:
To build skills and experience for pursuing a career in the field of culinary management.
JOB TASKS (Duties):
1. Set up and prep cook lines for service.
2. Assist in food preparations for member dining and events.
3. Work with Executive Chef to develop daily menu features.
4. Fulfill short order and menu preparations throughout service while maintaining consistency and quality of presentations.
5. Coordinate timing of service with front of the house staffing.
6. Maintain an organized and clean work area.
7. Inform the chef of purchasing needs for both food ingredients and supplies.
8. Responsible for preparing a sustainable, appetizing staff meal.
9. Supervises kitchen closing duties as it pertains to product handling and storage as well as kitchen cleanliness
10. Maintain a positive team atmosphere for both front and back of the house.
Culinary degree with experience preferred.
Hourly pay ($24-28 per hour) commensurate with experience. Full time benefits package includes group health plan, Life & LTD, paid vacation, 401k with match. Staff enjoy access to golf, tennis and private beach during designated times along with complimentary meals during shifts worked.
