JMU Cheerleading

JMU Cheerleading The JMU Varsity Co-Ed and All-Girl Cheerleading teams are the official cheerleading teams of James M In 2012, we won the title of NCA National Champions.

The JMU Varsity Cheerleading team cheers at football and Men's and Women's basketball. We enjoy making appearances at JMU sporting events to support our fellow athletic teams as well as campus and community events. The squad competes at NCA (National Cheerleaders Association) Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida each spring. This page will provide information on appearances, performances, youth clinics, college prep clinics, tryouts, and team achievements.

Ready to experience what it’s like to cheer at JMU? 👀

Registration is officially OPEN for our Fall College Cheer Prep Clinics! Come train with the Dukes, meet our coaching staff and current athletes, and experience the energy, expectations, and culture of JMU Cheerleading firsthand.

Whether JMU is already at the top of your list or you’re beginning your college cheer journey, this is your opportunity to step into our gym, showcase your skills, learn what it takes to be a Duke, and see if JMU could be your future home.
