Last Saturday night, we hosted our Lady Cougars Night of Gratitude for our athletes and it was a truly special evening. This night was all about gathering as a team for a sit-down Thanksgiving meal, with everyone bringing a dish to share.
We took time to posture our hearts and reflect on all we have to be grateful for, remembering that there is always, ALWAYS something to be thankful for, even when life presents challenges. We honored and remembered those who have sacrificed for us to even have a volleyball season—reminding ourselves that we don’t have to do this; we get to.
The girls made MyIntent bracelets, each stamping a word that encapsulates a goal, value, or what they strive for, to hold close to their hearts. We also took time to write thoughtful letters of gratitude to people in our lives who may not hear it often but mean so much to us. The night ended with laughter and joy as we danced and enjoyed each other’s company.
A huge thank you to Jennifer and Bucky Custer for graciously allowing us to use their barn for this wonderful evening. Your generosity and support added so much to the warmth and success of the night. We are truly blessed to have you as part of our community!
