A huge shoutout to the Men's Basketball League Spring Season Champions, Wilke Enginuity. That gives them back-to-back season championships. Get a team together and try to take them down in the fall season and earn your team a trophy.🏀🏆

The Fall season will run on Sundays from September 13 - November 15 with playoffs being November 22, and December 6th. (No games on November 29 for Thanksgiving weekend) 🦃

☀️ Summer fun is back!

The Hanover Area YMCA is proud to partner with the Hanover Borough to offer a FREE Summer Playground Program for children in grades K–8. Join us at these select playgrounds throughout the summer for exciting weekly activities, lunches in the park, special guests, games, and plenty of opportunities to play and make new friends! 🫧🍕😎💐🎲

🍕 Plus, we'll wrap up the summer with a pizza party!

📍 Open to children in grades K–8 (children under age 6 must be accompanied by an adult)

💜 Trainer Tip Tuesday 💜

June is Cancer Survivor Month, and at the Hanover YMCA, we’re proud to support cancer survivors through our LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA program.

🏋️ Trainer Tip: Consistency beats intensity.

After cancer treatment, rebuilding strength and endurance can feel overwhelming. The key is to start where you are and focus on small, consistent steps. A short walk, light strength training, stretching, or a group fitness class can all help improve energy, confidence, and overall well-being.

Our LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA program provides a safe, supportive environment where cancer survivors can work toward regaining strength, reducing fatigue, and connecting with others who understand the journey.

This Cancer Survivor Month, we celebrate the courage of survivors and encourage everyone to remember that every step forward is a victory. 💜

For a while, you’ve been crushing your workouts with us virtually, but now it’s time to bring the energy back to the studio!

Starting June 10th, LES MILLS GRIT returns to a LIVE in-person format at the North Hanover YMCA every Wednesday at 5:30 AM. 💪🔥

This high-intensity interval training class is designed to push your limits, improve strength and cardio fitness, and leave you feeling accomplished before most people have even started their day.

What a special day celebrating our Early Learning Center graduates! We are so proud of each and every one of the kiddos who walked across the stage and reached this exciting milestone.

In 1851, sea captain and missionary Thomas Valentine Sullivan, inspired by stories of the YMCA in England, joined six colleagues to found the very first YMCA in the United States at the Old South Church in Boston. Their goal was to create a safe “home away from home” for sailors and merchants traveling far from their families and communities.

That mission of connection, support, and community continues today through Ys across the country... including right here at the Hanover Area YMCA. As we celebrate 175 years of the YMCA in the United States, we are proud to honor the people and moments that helped shape the Y into what it is today. 💙💛
