Meet Rob & Beans!

"I'm Rob and this is Beans! I got into the sport because of my first dog Charlie back in 2008 while looking for an outlet for his endless energy. We stumbled upon Tom Wherli at a disc event while walking through Naperville one Saturday and our lives were changed forever! Charlie and I traveled all over the Midwest competing in freestyle and T&F and we added Roxi to the pack while looking for another disc dog to add to our travels. I decided at some point along the way that I wanted to spend all my time with the dogs, so in 2016 we opened Hampshire Pet Resort. Beans came to our grand opening with my aunt as a 7-week-old puppy full of energy and looking for an outlet. She was too much for my cousin and shortly after came to live with us. She's an absolute blast to jam with and although we don't get to compete anymore she's always down to snag some plastic and is now 8 years old, sadly we lost Charlie in 2020 at 16 and Roxi is the senior in our pack these days at 14. Beans and Roxi share their house with Cheyenne another disc dog and Alphie."

Meet Adam & Astro!

"Disc sports have been a love of mine since I was a little kid. There's something about chasing down a spinning, flying toy that is thrilling. It's meant so much to me to share this joy with my pup, Astro. I remember the first time he caught a disc. I screamed in excitement and raved about it to Christine. I am so proud of him and the team we have become."

Meet Katie and Mudd!

"Mudd is a 3yr old French bulldog/English bulldog mix. He titles in fast cat (running at 25mph most of his runs), dock diving, AKC Fetch, and parkour. Disc and parkour are by far his favorite things to do! Mudd also loves to go ATVing down south at his grandparents house, as well as being the captain of his mom's kayak and paddle board. Mudd is the best adventure buddy out there!"

Meet Shania and River!

"River is an Australian Shepherd and Shania’s first sports dog. They dabble in disc, fastcat, dock diving, and barn hunt — River’s favorite being disc, but could be argued that it’s fastcat. River’s favorite thing to do during disc is to not return the disc, after catching it, because she has to carry it back upside down. Outside of dog sports, they enjoy hiking and learning new tricks together. One of Shania’s favorite memories, with River, is when they got chosen to be in the Tails of Teamwork book from Barking Dog Images."

Meet Chelsea, Percy, and Obi!

"We’re Chelsea, Percy, and Obi! Obi is our first sports dog and we’ve fallen in love with disc, barn hunt, dock, agility, and fast cat! Disc is definitely Obi’s favorite sport. We love seeing his drive for that disc and his focus for all the games. It makes the 1+ hour drive from Chicago worth it.

Our proudest disc moment was when we (Chelsea & Obi) placed for third overall in the novice division in the May 2024 UpDog event!

We’ve added a new puppy to our family named Tolkien and he’s showing a lot of interest in disc. So stay tuned to see both Obi and Tolkien on that field!"

"My name is Catherine and I am 17 so just out of youth, Twitch is my 3 year old border collie, paired with Trouble the Papillon! I started dog sports doing disc with my Irish wolfhound mix when I was 12 working on convincing my parents to let me get a border collie! Twitch and Trouble aside from disc play flyball, dock diving, coursing and more! Twitch and I have 2 DockDogs youth finalist, multiple national championships for different sports and organizations, and over 30 titles under our belt! Trouble just turned a year old and has turned into such a fun little guy, he is 8lbs of fluff and sass but loves his toys!"

Meet Annalise and Traitor!

"Traitor is a 3 year old male border collie who plays all the sports with his JR. Handler, Anna who just turned 13! They started off just as a puppy in disc but now compete in disc, dock diving, flyball, and more!

Anna also competes with a 2 year old border collie, Trance, who Anna took to DockDogs worlds last year to compete in youth division."
