FeLions History
The FeLions were established in 2003 as a chapter of the Southeastern Louisiana University Alumni Association when football returned to the university after a hiatus of 17 years. The idea for this new group, a brainstorm of alumnus Pam Skibinski, was well received. Veda Abene won the naming contest and agreed to serve as the first president. After a successful first year, the group decided to do a fundraiser, and thus the highly successful Champagne Bingo was born. As of 2017, it became a chapter under the Lion Athletics Association in the Athletics Department.
