Valhalla Combat Sports offers classes in the new art of MMA as well as classes in the original arts of wrestling, boxing, Jiu jitsu, Judo, Muay Thai and Catch as Catch can. If you want to train to fig

ht in the cage, you can come to the wrestling, boxing, Jiu Jitsu , and Muay Thai classes and then see how they are woven together in the MMA class. Or if you are just interested in Jiu Jitsu for example, you can come just for that class. We also have an MMA aerobics class in the morning for people who have no interest in fighting but just want to stay in shape. Our instructors are experts in their particular art and the MMA coaches have authentic fighting experience. We borrow from the training methods and emulate the skill sets of UFC and Pride champions. At the Valhalla Combat Sports, we offer mma circuit training, and work on the wrestling takedowns that helped Matt Hughes win his fights. We train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu made famous by the Gracies, we emulate the Muay Thai of Anderson Silva, and work on boxing defensive skills of slipping punches, as well as the head movement that Freddie Roach teaches to Anderson Silva and Manny Pacquiao. We will combine all these compartmentalized arts into one fighting system that is known as MMA(MIXED MARTIAL ARTS). Each individual art has strengths and weaknesses to it as they are adapted for combat in the cage. We will throw out the flaws of each individual sport and keep what is practical. We will teach boxers to defend the takedown, we will teach wrestlers to fight from their guard, we will train grapplers how to strike and how not to get hit. Top O’ the Sunday morning to ya! 🍀🥊

We’re in for an action-packed day here at Clarke’s Gym!

On October 1st, we officially turned 17 years young, and today we’re celebrating that incredible milestone with a full day of training, fun, and community!

We’ll be kicking things off at 9:30 AM with a Boxing Seminar led by none other than our very own gym owner, pro fighter, & coach Josh “The Irish Virus” Clarke, alongside his father James “The Baby Rhino” Clarke & Marty “The Wolfman” Lindquist.

After the boxing seminar, we’ll be joined by our former black belt sensei, Josh Haynie, who’ll be leading a Jiu-Jitsu seminar running till noon — followed by a belt promotion ceremony!

After that, we’ll have open gym until 1 PM, then fire up the grill, play some games, & celebrate together! Everyone is welcome — whether you join for part of the day or all of it.
