PART-TIME BICYCLE SHOP HELPER NEEDED

I'm looking for a dependable part-time team member to assist with bicycle assembly, repairs, shop organization, inventory, and general shop duties.

REQUIREMENTS: • Must already have an interest in bicycles and cycling • Mechanical aptitude preferred • Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented • Able to work independently • Must be willing to work at least one Saturday per month

SCHEDULE: • Flexible part-time hours • Approximately 6–10 hours per week to start • Some after-hours work available • Opportunity for additional hours as the shop grows

IDEAL FOR: • Cycling enthusiasts • Students • Someone looking for supplemental income • A rider who enjoys being around bikes and the cycling community

If the shop’s been a little quiet on social media lately… that’s usually a good sign 😅
Means we’ve been busy wrenching, building, planning, and working on some new things behind the scenes.

We’re excited to officially announce new partnerships with:

• GOTRAX – e-bikes & scooters
• Denago eBikes
• State Bicycle Co.
• Urtopia
• Marin

We’ll be periodically rotating inventory from these brands through the shop, so you’ll start seeing different bikes and e-bikes on the floor over time.

If there’s a specific model, size, or color you’re after from any of these brands, let us know — we can special order it.

Whether you’re looking for a commuter, fitness ride, gravel, mountain, adventure bike, lightweight carbon e-bike, or just something fun to cruise on — we’ve got some exciting stuff coming in.

Another big advantage of buying through a dealer? If warranty issues ever come up, we can help handle the process locally instead of sending you through endless 1-800 numbers and support tickets.

Also starting to look for someone interested in helping out after hours as things continue growing 👀

🚨 Shop Update 🚨

We’ll be closed this Friday and Saturday, so if your bike needs a tune-up, brake adjustment, or anything looked at, bring it in before then.

Spring riding is here and service spots are filling up quickly. If you’ve been putting it off, now’s the time to drop it off so you’re not waiting until next week.

Is one of your New Year’s Resolutions to donate your old bicycle or bike equipment?

The 2026 TOM WILSTEAD MEMORIAL BIKE ROUND-UP is coming soon!

Tom was a resident of La Posada and helped to create the Posada Pedalers, our resident cycling club. His mission with this bike round-up was to introduce others to the joy of cycling who couldn’t afford one. Local biking non-profits make effective use of your donations in Tucson, the Santa Cruz area, and Nogales for deserving kids, teens, and adults, and to promote safe cycling.

The last round-up resulted in more than 140 donated cycles. In 2026, the Green Valley Recreation Cycling Club’s goal is to exceed that number.

Date of Event: Saturday, January 31, 2026 & Sunday, February 1, 2026.

Hours: 9 am – 2 pm

Donation location: La Posada Community Center on the La Posada campus.

Also, are you looking to do volunteering as part of a New Year’s Resolution?

Volunteers will be needed to assist with the collection and cleanup of donated bicycles and cycling gear, and to load bikes for various local youth cycling charities.
