In the midst of all the construction, a beautiful new art sculpture was placed to welcome guests as they arrive at the equestrian center!

This beautiful metal horse, rightfully named "Queen" by Iowa artist Victoria Reed, was purchased by Polk County Conservation and found her permanent home along the circle drive leading into the equestrian center for visitors to admire as they enter the park.

We are excited to be the final landing place for Queen and can't wait for our guests to enjoy it as well.

🤠 We've got exciting news to share! The construction project at the equestrian center is nearly finished, which means we are back open to visitors to see the horses - just in time for summer!

Crews are still finishing up the handrail on the new staircase leading from the parking lot to the barn, as well as some minor landscaping to spruce up the areas that were under construction.

We are pleased to make these changes to our facility to help enhance the experience for all of our visitors.
