MSOD is thrilled to present Reel Music: The Music that Made the Movies. The 2026 recital features music from the movies we all love, and scores that move the story forward.

Join us on Saturday, June 13 at North Polk HS at 1 p.m. for the recital, followed by a special showcase featuring our solo, duet, and trio performers at 6 p.m.

Our 4th Senior Spotlight is Madison Pratt! 💗

Madi has been dancing at MSOD since she was 3 years old, and it has been such a joy watching her grow into the strong, confident, and beautiful person she is today.

Over the years, Madi has developed into an incredibly talented dancer through her hard work, trust in her teachers, and perseverance. She brings a happy energy to every class, and is always willing to encourage those around her. Her kindness, maturity, and leadership make her a wonderful role model for our younger dancers.

Madi, I am so proud of everything you have accomplished and cannot wait to see all the amazing things your future holds.Thank you for being such an important part of the MSOD family. We will be cheering you on as you attend Iowa State University and every step of the way. Enjoy this next chapter of your life and never give up on yourself💗 ♡Madi Pratt♡

Before you hit the stage for dress rehearsal, stop by the Fizz’d truck in the North Polk HS parking lot. Join us Friday, June 12 from noon to 4:30 PM for a fun drink. Fizz’d has something for everyone, including energy drinks and non-caffeinated beverages, perfect for younger kids. Be sure to get to dress rehearsal early or hit up the truck during competition photos to grab a drink.

Reminder, there are no drinks allowed inside the auditorium, but feel free to enjoy them in the dressing rooms, or outside of the auditorium.

Our next Senior Spotlight is Elise Benton:)
Elise has been dancing at MSOD since she was just 3 years old. I am so blessed that I got to be both your very first dance teacher and your last. Watching you grow into the beautiful young woman you are today has been such a joy.

Elise has always been a very hard worker that never gives up. She leads by example, treats everyone with respect, and has one of the biggest hearts. I have always appreciated her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to trust the process.

Elise, I have no doubt you will do amazing things in this next chapter of your life. As you pursue your future in esthetics, please believe in yourself the way everyone around you believes in you. Your compassion, dedication, respect, and passion will take you far.

We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see all that you accomplish. Congratulations, Elise! Your MSOD family loves you and will always be cheering you on. 💗

Our next senior to celebrate is Raygan Stritz! ❤️

Raygan, thank you for always striving to be the best version of yourself and for continuously working to grow as both a dancer and a person. Your patience, dedication, and trust in the process are a perfect example of what can happen when you refuse to give up.

This year, you finished your dance career on a high note earning 1st Overall for one of your solos. The countless hours of hard work you poured into that routine truly paid off. You have always been a responsible young woman, and your wisdom has always been beyond your years.

Make each day count, believe in yourself, and never doubt the amazing person you are and as you head off to Drake University, know that your MSOD family will miss you tremendously.

Congratulations, Raygan! Go Bulldogs! 💙 We can’t wait to see all the incredible things your future holds.

As we head into our final weeks of classes before recital, I want to take some time to feature our senior dancers. ❤️

Our first senior spotlight is .

Brooklyn, I have loved watching you grow into the beautiful young woman and dancer you are today. Your hard work, and dedication will take you far in life. I will miss your humor and your spot in the lobby at my desk but you leave with memories that will last forever❤️ We are all so proud of you and can’t wait to see you thrive in this next chapter of your life.
