Just a quick heads up! My website is currently undergoing some much-needed maintenance and updates. As a one-woman operation balancing personal training, running the gym, nutrition coaching, yoga, now body contouring, vendor events, mom life and so much more, I haven't quite gotten everything updated yet.

I almost missed Global Running Day, but maybe that's fitting because running isn't just something I just acknowledge one day a year.

Running has been there through the highs, the lows, the stress, the celebrations, and everything in between. It's taught me discipline, grit, patience, and how to keep moving forward when things get hard.

Some runs feel absolutely amazing while some are a struggle from the first step. But every mile has something to teach us.

Today I'm grateful for the roads traveled, the finish lines crossed I've crossed, and all the miles still ahead.

Happy Global Running Day to everyone who laces up and keeps showing up whether its your first lace up or thousandth. 🏃‍♀️🫶 Cheers friends🥂

Yay my final assignment was accepted and i passed, passed my final exam, recieved certificate and got all my i's dotted and t's crossed....I'm officially looking for a small group of Body Contouring Portfolio Clients.

Because I'm building my treatment portfolio, selected clients will receive a significant discount in exchange for:

Something exciting is coming to Wake and Move Mountains Running & Strength Dynamics this week.

Life happened and i didnt get done when i hoped but I've officially completed my training and am preparing to open a limited number of Body Contouring appointments.

These non-invasive treatments combine Body Cavitation, Radio Frequency + Vacuum Therapy, and Laser Lipolysis to help target stubborn areas that don't always respond to diet and exercise alone.

Over the next few days I'll be sharing more about each treatment and opening a small number of discounted portfolio sessions.

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, it's a good reminder that mental health isn't something we focus on for just one month, it's something we need to care for every day.

Movement, nutrition, sleep, sunlight, community, and stress management all play an important role in how we feel, both physically and mentally. While exercise isn't a cure-all, it can be a powerful tool for improving mood, reducing stress, building confidence, and creating healthy routines.

At Wake and Move i believe that taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health. Some days that may look like crushing a workout. Other days it may look like showing up, taking a walk, stretching, or simply giving yourself grace.

As we move into a new month, remember:
✨ Progress over perfection.
✨ Movement is medicine.
✨ Rest is productive.
✨ Asking for help is a sign of strength.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your health journey. Let's continue prioritizing both mind and body, not just in May, but all year long.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, but the truth is mental health matters every single day. Just like we pay attention to soreness, fatigue, or injury in the gym, we also need to be paying attention to the warning signs our minds and bodies give us.

Early signs that your mental health may need attention can look like:
• Constant exhaustion even after resting
• Irritability or feeling overwhelmed easily
• Loss of motivation
• Trouble sleeping or sleeping too much
• Increased anxiety or racing thoughts
• Pulling away from friends, family, or activities you normally enjoy
• Difficulty focusing
• Changes in appetite or energy
• Feeling emotionally numb or stuck in survival mode

The important thing to remember is this: you do not have to wait until you are completely falling apart to ask for help.

A few things that can help support your mental health:
• Move your body regularly, even a short walk helps
• Prioritize sleep and recovery
• Fuel your body consistently
• Spend time outside and unplug from screens
• Talk to someone you trust
• Give yourself permission to rest without guilt
• Practice mindfulness, prayer, journaling, or deep breathing
• Seek professional help when needed, strength includes asking for support

At my gym, i care about more than just reps, weight loss and progress photos. I care about people. Your mental health matters just as much as your physical health.
