The thing that jumped off the screen was Leavitt’s legs and willingness to make a play when needed. 113 rushing yards from your QB?! That adds an entirely different problem for SEC defenses to deal with.

Something we have not seen in the LSU QB room for the past 2 seasons.

🚨 Lafourche Parish Bridge Update — Parish President Mitch Orgeron Joins the Group Chat

With multiple bridge closures creating serious traffic and safety concerns across Lafourche Parish, Parish President Mitch Orgeron joined the Group Chat Podcast for an important conversation about where things stand and what happens next.

The discussion comes after the Scully Canal Bridge on Highway 308 was ordered closed immediately following an inspection, adding another major disruption while the McCloud Bridge remains out of service.

President Orgeron explains the conversations already underway with DOTD, the Governor’s Office and state officials regarding emergency repairs and the urgent need to keep traffic moving throughout the parish.

We also get an update on the Cote Blanche Bridge, including ongoing issues with the contractor, the parish’s response, and a potential 14–21 day path to completion if the remaining work moves forward as planned.

But this situation goes far beyond traffic.

President Orgeron discusses the impact on school buses, emergency services, hurricane evacuation planning, sugar cane season and the everyday commute for thousands of residents. He also addresses concerns surrounding other aging bridges scheduled for replacement and why parish leaders are pushing the state for faster action.

This is a serious situation with a lot of moving parts, and we appreciate Parish President Mitch Orgeron coming into the studio on short notice to speak directly to the people of Lafourche Parish.
