Tonight’s Home Game against Assumption has been postponed to Tuesday June 23rd.

The KLEB JV Silver Kings pull out a win against Thibodaux 7-6 with Byron Bruce and Cason Cortez leading the way offensively. Julian Bernard was the winning pitcher on the mound.

In between games the rain came down just enough to begin puddling on the infield making conditions unsafe for the athletes. Make up date TBD.

The Kings return to action at home tomorrow against Assumption. JV 4/V 6.

Today’s Swampland Opener at Thibodaux has been rained out and will now be played Wednesday at HOME. JV 4:30/V 6:30.

***SWAMPLAND TRYOUTS POSTPONED***
Due to today’s weather forecast coupled with middle school awards later in the week we have decided to postpone tryouts to next week.
Tryouts will be held next Monday-Wednesday (May 18-20) from 3:15-5 PM.

Congrats to these young men and coaches!

What a day for the Tarpon Track and Field Team at the LHSAA State Championship!!!
The Lady Tarpons included 5 girls who fought hard to finish 13th place.
Individual places were:
-Alexa Rogers- 9th place 100m dash, 9th place 200m dash, 6th place long jump
-Jolie Callais- 8th place 100m hurdles
-Kourtney Duet- 4th place high jump, 6th place triple jump
-Keyanna Truehill- 2nd place shot put
-Caroline Hymel- 3rd place pole vault

The Tarpon Boys team made school history by earning the title of STATE CHAMPIONS! This is the first time the track team has ever won state, and only the fourth time in school history across every sport that a team was deemed State Champions!
Individual places were:
-Jack Reding- 2nd place shot put, State Champion discus
-Jacob Galliano- 6th place pole vault
-Joshua Guidry- 2nd place 800m run, State Champion 1600m run
-Lakin Fillinich- 5th place javelin
-Jacq'ues Billiot- 2nd place javelin
-Yair Torres-Aguilar- State Champion 400m dash

Yair Torres-Aguilar also broke his own school record for the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.50 seconds!

Amazing job this season, Tarpon Track and Field!
