Happy 10 years at Powder Hound, Amy! We truly wouldn’t be the shop we are today without you.

Over the past decade, it’s been pretty incredible to watch the role you’ve played in shaping Powder Hound and the community around it. From making your first ski sale to taking the helm of the shop, you’ve helped turn Powder Hound into so much more than a store. It’s become a gathering place, a trusted resource, and a real part of life here in Girdwood.

Thank you for 10 fast, fun, and unforgettable years. Here’s to the next decade of raising a family in a ski town, keeping the shop moving, and helping countless other families get outfitted for life in the mountains.

Forbidden has officially landed at Powder Hound! 🚵

We’re proud to be a Forbidden Bike Co. dealer, bringing bikes built for the kind of terrain we have right outside our door here in Girdwood.

There’s a reason Forbidden caught our attention. The steep, technical, big-mountain riding around Girdwood is exactly what these bikes are built for. It’s a natural fit for our backyard, and we’re excited to officially welcome Forbidden to the Powder Hound lineup.

Yes, we know the weather has been giving anything BUT swimsuit weather lately. 😭 But hear us out...

ELYSiian swimwear is now at Powder Hound, including their signature one-size suits made with super-stretchy crinkle fabric designed to mold to sizes 2–12.

So while Alaska figures out whatever it’s doing outside, we’ll be over here manifesting swimsuit weather.

The annual Klunker is BACK! 🚲

Mark your calendars for Sunday, Sept. 6. More info is coming soon, but for now, we’re looking for 10 volunteers to help us bring this year’s event to life.

The Klunker keeps getting bigger and better every year, and we’d love to have a few extra hands on deck to make it happen.
