Coal Country Open Gillette, Wyoming’s premier annual golf tournament since 1983.

Held each August, the Coal Country Open is a 3-day, 54-hole tournament open to the public, raising funds each year to support a local nonprofit and strengthen our community.

❤️ The 2026 Coal Country Open Community Donation ❤️

This year, the Coal Country Open was honored to present the Hatzenbuhler family with a $11,000 check.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, the bucket at the door raised $2,284, which was matched by Tiffany & Matthew Nelson and the SPE Crawfish Committee, bringing that total to $6,852.

With the support of our players, sponsors, and additional donations, the 2026 Coal Country Open raised $15,568 in total.

This community continues to shine when one of our own is in need. ❤️

2026 Coal Country Open — What a Weekend! ⛳️

We’re sharing a few highlights from the Derby, Calcutta and Banquet as we wrap up another great year.

Congratulations to this year’s champion, Jerry Peterson! 🏆 Jerry has served on the Coal Country Open Board for several years and is the Sales Manager at L&H Industrial. A well-earned championship!

Thank you to all of the players, sponsors, volunteers and supporters who helped make this year’s tournament a success. We appreciate everyone who continues to support this Wyoming tradition.
