Our 7th grade Lakers played their best basketball this weekend, going 4-1 at the ZG Finals. The boys went 3-0 in pool play, then rolled past a tough CT team in the semifinals. Unfortunately, they lost a heartbreaker in the championship game. This team is not only one of the most talented teams around, but they have become a family over the years, players and parents. So proud of what they have accomplished, and excited for whats ahead for these young men.

A shout out to this Laker who will be playing in her final tournament with the Lakers this weekend. Skye Maltais (Gilfod High School, 2026) was with us when we started the girls Lakers program years ago. She has been a leader on and off the court, and we can’t wait to see what she does at NHTI next year. Thank you Skye for setting a great example for our younger players and being part of the LRE Family. ❤️🏀
