Well, just like that 2025 is gone and 2026 is here. Thank you all for an amazing 2025! I know I've said it in the past, but we can't do what we do without you all. Going to classes every week is what makes my week worth it, and I know Shihan Rick agrees with me too.

So thank you all again for an amazing 2025, and let's see what we can do in 2026!

Eastern Dragon would like to take a moment to thank everyone for their participation in the June 2025 Black Belt Test. In this test we had the pleasure of testing Serenity-Rayne Smith for her 1st Degree Black Belt and Sensei Ian for his 3rd Degree Black Belt.

Obtaining a black belt at Eastern Dragon is a journey that takes many years of training. Fortunately, everyone at Eastern Dragon cares about their fellow students and helps them to train the details needed to be prepared for the test.

Both Serenity and Sensei Ian pushed through the many challenges that were presented to them by five veteran black belts and after several hours they made it to the end of the test and were awarded their respective black belts.

Everyone is impressed with the events of the day and all deserve a long rest. We look forward to beginning the next steps on our martial arts journey with our two newest black belts!
