This weekend Eastern Dragon added to its growing list of black belt students. Tristan Westlund who has already earned the title of Assistant Instructor, successfully tested for the rank of First Degree Black Belt. Five senior Black Belts administered the 8 hour test and Tristan was the only student testing... all eyes were on him. Tristan accepted all of the challenges thrown at him and he perservered. Congratulations Tristan!

I would also like to thank Black Belts Sensei Ian Smart (3rd Dan), Calvin Roberts (3rd Dan), Kathryn De Leon (3rd Dan) and Tristan Smith (2nd Dan) all of whom gave up their Saturday for this very important test. Thank you and we will see you at the Dojo.

Well, just like that 2025 is gone and 2026 is here. Thank you all for an amazing 2025! I know I've said it in the past, but we can't do what we do without you all. Going to classes every week is what makes my week worth it, and I know Shihan Rick agrees with me too.

So thank you all again for an amazing 2025, and let's see what we can do in 2026!
