Murph on Memorial Day – Monday, May 25th

Join us at Narrows for our annual Murph event as we honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
This year, we’re once again making it donation-based, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the Washington Veterans Home. Last year, thanks to your generosity, we raised over $600 that went toward their fitness center and improving the health and wellbeing of veterans in need.

Event Details:

Opening Ceremony: 8:45 AM (Doors open at 8:30)
Heats: First come, first serve (sign-ups at the gym)
Workout: Murph – completely scalable for all ability levels (young, old, and everywhere in between)
After Party: Social + Potluck (not required but if you have something yummy, bring it!)

Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or it’s your first time, this is a powerful way to show up, push yourself, and remember those who defended our freedom.

Come honor the fallen, support our local veterans, and be part of something bigger than just a workout.

This has been a long time in the making.

I'm so excited to have Jake taking this on. If you've met him, you already know why. His energy is infectious, and he absolutely loves working with young athletes.

I can't overstate the importance of building strong movement patterns, body awareness, and mental resilience as early as possible. Too many coaches rush straight into specialized, sport-specific training when that's often not the answer. Sure, it helps them learn how to kick, throw, pass, and play as a team—but it doesn't build a versatile, well-rounded, and truly effective athlete.

We felt so incredibly blessed this morning to have 43 of our amazing athletes show up bright and early for our Christmas Eve workout. Nothing says holiday spirit like burpees, kettlebells, and good company! 💪❤️

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a special morning. Wishing our entire gym community, near and far, a day filled with joy, good health, plenty of love, and maybe even a few personal records in the new year!

Shoutout to these legends who kept the tradition alive and showed up for the Gig Harbor Turkey Trot this morning… in the classic PNW drizzle! ☔ Whether they walked, jogged, or full-on raced, nothing was stopping them from getting moving and kicking off the holiday with some of their fit fam by their side.

🌤️ Wellness Wednesday: Beating the Shorter Days

As we move deeper into fall, the days get shorter — and that loss of sunlight can sneak up on us. Less daylight often means lower energy, more fatigue, mood dips, and even disrupted sleep patterns. It’s not just in your head — your body really does notice the change.

Here are a few simple ways to fight back and keep your energy high this season:

💡 Get outside as soon as the sun rises. Try to catch natural light first thing in the morning — even 10–15 minutes can help regulate your circadian rhythm and boost mood.

🏋️‍♀️ Stay consistent with movement. Exercise is one of the best tools for fighting fatigue and keeping your mental health strong through darker months (you’re already crushing that part).

🍳 Fuel up right. Aim for nutrient-dense foods that support energy and mood — think protein and plenty of colorful fruits and veggies.

😴 Prioritize sleep. As daylight shifts, so should your bedtime routine. Keep it consistent and avoid screens right before bed.

🌞 Consider a light therapy lamp if you get up really early. A few minutes in front of a bright light box in the morning can make a big difference for mood and alertness.

Shorter days don’t have to slow you down — take care of yourself, get your workouts in, and keep showing up for your community.

Families in our community are facing an unexpected delay in their WIC and SNAP benefits, leaving them without access to essential supplies right now.

Our ownership team feels strongly about stepping up when our community needs us most — so while our annual holiday food drive is upon us, we’re taking action immediately in partnership with the City to provide urgent relief.

Here’s how you can help:
If you’re able, please drop off donations of non-perishable items at the gym through 11/24.

🍼 Due to the specialized needs of each baby’s nutritional needs, monetary donations are most needed.
