Yesterday, Rise Yoga celebrated 3 years 💗 and today, in honor of Labor Day, as well as this significant milestone for our Rise community, we are resting. And I promise, I am softening into some purposeful rest today too. 😊 But I could not let this weekend pass by without honoring the beautiful humans that make this place so special- who bring the love, light, and life into the space every day, who continue to learn, listen, and get curious about their practice, and who commit to bringing their most authentic selves while also ensuring that you feel safe showing up fully within yours. ✨
When I ask folks what they love most about practicing at Rise, the resounding response is- the people, the sense of community and more specifically, the instructional team who create a welcoming, caring and supportive environment. 🫶
If you have attended one of my classes recently, you may have heard me use the words “Pour in the love”- this theme was inspired by one of my favorite teachers and has been woven throughout my time in reflection recently, especially as I consider all the folks who have poured their love into me and into this studio over the last 3 years as well as the years building up to its birth.
So today, and throughout the coming week and month, as we continue to celebrate the community we are growing here, I invite you to pause, and to pour in the love. Not only into yourself (please keep doing that too!) but also into each other. Thank your practice neighbor for sharing space with you. Give your teachers a shout out and let them know how much you appreciate their presence in this space. And honor yourself for coming back to your mat over and over again. 🤗 We’re grateful you’re here.
We welcome you to share your words of kindness and care here in the comments, privately in person with your teachers, in the form of a review if you feel so moved, OR we’re going old school this week and will have note cards available in the studio so you can drop a Rise birthday message to your teachers as you enter or leave class. Pour on the Love 💕🧘
As always, we thank each of YOU for your presence in this community. We are honored to share this practice with you. 🙏
