Shout out to all those young football players who participated in our punt, pass and kick contest tonight. Even though we had to move indoors because of the weather, we still had a lot of fun. I look forward to working with each of you future panthers. Congratulations to the winners in each age group. Good luck this season and GO PANTHERS!!!!!!

The GHS football punt, pass, kick contest for our youth takes place tomorrow night at 6 pm in Hugh Owen Memorial Stadium. If your child would like to participate in their respective age group and have yet to sign up, you can sign them up at the stadium. Registration will be from 4:00-5:00 tomorrow. Registration is $5. (age groups 7-8, 9-10, 11-12). Everyone is encouraged to come out and cheer on our young people. Admission is free.

Our Panthers closed out the summer this past week with a strong finish. They have committed themselves to a common goal of getting better each day and understand the importance of earning excellence. I could not be more proud of a group of young men. Even though we as a team know that there is still a ton of work to be done, I know their CHARACTER and I know they are poised to finish the task. They have challenged themselves to strive for greatness and I am truly honored to be a part of this special group of young people. I know they will represent this community well. It all officially gets started Monday August the 3rd. As a community, lets rally around our young men and get that ole PANTHER spirit and tradition back this fall. GO PANTHERS!
