One final post and update to finish out a great season for our Panthers! State finished strong with many bests and top 8 finishes. Last night the team was celebrated one last time with the Sports Banquet.

-Synia Williams placed 8th in the Girls Triple Jump
-Ava Yarbrough had a PR in the Girls Triple Jump and Long Jump
-The Boys 4x100 Meter Relay placed 6th in prelims advancing them to place 3rd in the finals
-JJ King had a PR in the Boys Javelin
-Braylon Soles placed 5th with a PR in the Boys 400 Meter Run. He placed 8th in the 200 Meter Run Prelim advancing him to finals where he placed 7th overall
-Kori Post placed 5th in the Girls 100 Meter Hurdles advancing her to finals where she placed 4th

Congratulations to Hayden Love, Braylon Soles, Nayshaun Simon, and Landon Mixon on an outstanding season and a 3rd place finish at the state meet in the 4A Boys 4x100 Meter Relay!

Superintendent Jami Seay and the Geneva City Schools Board of Education proudly recognized these student-athletes and Coach Chance Williams for their hard work, dedication, and achievement representing Geneva City Schools at the state level.

Update:
-Hayden Love, Landon Mixon, Nay Simon and Braylon Soles received a Wild Card for the Boys 4x100. They will compete this week at State, bringing our count to 12!

After the AHSAA Red Level 4A Sectional Meet from 4/24-4/25/26 eleven athletes are headed to State!!

State qualifiers include Synia Williams, Faith Owens, Braylon Soles, Ava Yarbrough, Hollie Howell, Landon Mixon, Nay Simon, JC Harstvedt, Kade Senn, Kori Post and JJ King.

-Braylon Soles, JC Harstvedt, Nay Simon and Landon Mixon placed 2nd with a PR in the Boys 4x400 Meter Relay, earning them a spot at State
-Holli Howell, Ava Yarbrough, Faith Owens and Synia Williams placed 3rd with a PR in the Girls 4x100 Meter Relay, earning them a spot at State
-Braylon Soles placed 3rd with a PR in the Boys 400 Meter Dash, earning him a spot at State
-Synia Williams placed 1st in the Girls Long Jump and 2nd in Girls Triple Jump, earning her a spot at State for both events
-Ava Yarbough placed 5th in Girls Long and Triple Jump, earning her a spot at State for both events
-Kade Senn placed 1st in Boys Triple Jump, 3rd in Boys High Jump, earning him a spot at State for both events
-Kori Post placed 3rd in the Girls High Jump, 1st in the Girls 100 Meter Hurdles (PR), and 2nd in the Girls 300 Meter Hurdles (PR), earning her a spot at State in all events
-JJ King placed 2nd with a PR in the Boys Javelin Throw, earning him a spot at State
-Faith Owens placed 4th in the 100 Meter Dash and 400 Meter Run (PR) earning her a spot at State in both

Other meet highlights included:
-The Girls received the 4A Section 1 Runner Up plaque for earned points
-Braylon Soles, Hayden Love, Nay Simon, and Landon Mixon placed 2nd on Friday with a PR in the Boys 4x100 Meter Relay. This advanced them to Finals where they placed 4th overall
-Kori Post, Holli Howell, Ava Mixon and Faith Owens placed 4th with a PR in the Girls 4x400 Meter Relay
-JC Harstvedt, Connor Gillo, Collin Vickers and Kam Seward placed 4th with a PR in the Boys 4x800 Meter Relay
-Ava Mixon, Kenzie Collier, Hannah-Kate Coleman and Emma Kate Harris placed 4th in the Girls 4x800 Meter Relay
-Bryant Fulford had a PR in the Boys Shot Put
-JJ King and Kade Senn had PR's in the Boys Discus Throw
-Hannah-Kate Coleman placed 8th with a PR in the Girls Triple Jump
-Marlee Groves placed 8th with a PR in the Girls Javelin Throw
