We have been incredibly blessed to have Eli Skaggs as part of our YMCA family. Throughout his time here, Eli has made a lasting impact on those through his work with the swim team, youth swim lessons, adult classes, lifeguarding, and one-on-one instruction for children with autism and other disabilities who may not otherwise have had the opportunity to learn how to swim.
It was clear to everyone that Eli genuinely loved working with kids, and the kids absolutely loved him in return. His patience, determination, and ability to stay focused on the unique needs of each child were just a few of the qualities that made him such an outstanding instructor and mentor. Eli had a special way of building confidence, creating trust, and helping every swimmer reach their potential.
Eli has been a tremendous asset to our YMCA, and his positive influence will be felt for years to come. While we will certainly miss him, we are excited to see what the future holds for him and know he will continue to make a difference wherever he goes. We wish him nothing but success and happiness in his next chapter.
Thank you, Eli
