Alright people, we need to have a talk. It seems people have become quite possessive of “their” spin bikes. Let me remind you that we do not save bikes and we do not have assigned bikes (seats). If you get there early, you can pick wherever you want to ride. But nobody is saving bikes nor do you get the same bike all the time. If you bought a bike, sure, it’s yours, but I’m pretty sure you didn’t or I’d know about it. And if you get there first and want the best spot in the room, take it, nobody has a reserved bike. Yesterday I threatened to move every single bike, let people either move to a new spot to have their preferred bike, or ride a different bike. Almost every single person said “you can do that, but don’t move my bike”. There’s that “my bike” again. It’s not yours. 5am 9am & 5pm all share them. The only person who gets to claim a bike and spot is the instructor (and only during their class time). They are the one exception. Please don’t be like those big box gyms where people are so territorial that it makes others feel uncomfortable. We are better than that.

Also, yesterday marked 10 years since we had our gym soft opening. We had 5 bikes and maybe 3 pieces of equipment, look how we have grown. 18 bikes and running out of space with equipment, a great problem to have. We are so fortunate to have such an incredible team of trainers who have built a community, a family, a safe space for everyone to get healthy. Here’s to another 10 amazing years.

We took March off from any challenges, but we are back for April. Butts/guts/cardio will be the focus. Download the Gymrats app if you don’t already have it, the invite code is LJBEATIQ. I’m requesting that everyone please be honest and play fair. Cheating at these challenges just seems silly, we are all trying to get stronger & healthier, not better at cheating lol.
Points can be earned in and out of classes/trainings. But it’s up to you to keep track of what you do.

Let the games begin 🍑💪🏼🏋🏻‍♀️

Ready for a challenge?

Our February bingo challenge winner is in 🥁🥁🥁🥁

Jessy Nuckolls, congratulations and way to go 💪🏼! Your prize will be at the gym for you to pick up this week.

We had a good amount of participants in this challenge. Lots of bingos, nobody was able to get a blackout tho, a couple came close.

Survey…who is enjoying the extra challenge with our monthly challenges? We took March off but I’m wondering who would like to see an April challenge?

03/01/2026

Don’t forget to turn in your bingo cards tomorrow at the gym. You have until the 5th to turn them in, then we will draw for a winner. Did anyone get a blackout card? If so, your name will be entered 5 times!!!!

We have a winner for our Jumpstart January competition, congratulations Merisha Hawks! Merisha had completed all 3 competitions for our January challenge, which upped her chances of winning! Way to go Merisha! We will have your prize within the next week.

As we close out January, how did everyone do with the January challenge? Today I got to measure someone who took the challenge very seriously. She lost 5 pounds, 6.5 inches & almost 2% body fat in 1 month! Super impressive. If you have a filled out challenge form, please drop it off at fit by Wednesday so I can draw a winner.
I thought it would be good to keep the momentum going. Something to help us get through the winter blues. So here is a fun little bingo card I put together. Fill out one line “bingo” for one entry or the whole card for 5 entries. A prize will be awarded at the end of February.

Last week I had a wonderful conversation during a personal training session. One of my clients was talking about church, and the topic of “just attending on Sundays” being enough. Can you fully live the life God has planned for you by doing the bare minimum? Faith by osmosis 🤷🏻‍♀️ I told this client I see the same thing in the gym all the time. People think showing up for an hour a couple days a week is enough. Never reaching for heavier weights, always cheating the range of motion. Making excuses every chance they get. Yet they are mad and disappointed when they aren’t seeing the results they want. They cheat their diet several times a week, and drink their calories in alcohol nightly or on the weekends. Fit by osmosis 🤷🏻‍♀️
The two scenarios are so similar. People want max results for minimum effort. Both of these things require you continually give more. In your faith, discipleship, prayer, reading the word, spending time with Him. In the gym, heavier weights, full range of motion, pushing to a higher level, and being disciplined with your nutrition.

Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus promises rest for those who are heavy-laden, offering an "easy" yoke and a "light" burden.

Work hard, be disciplined, and God will give you rest. If you train hard, pushing your body to new levels, the rest of the world will feel easy “light”. I’ve always felt like the pain I endure in the gym equips me for the trials of the world. This too applies in our faith. Break down, be vulnerable, grow in your knowledge of the word, and then you will be better equipped to handle the challenges that life throws at you.

Happy Sunday everyone. Take a moment today to question your efforts, and ask if you have been doing faith/fitness with your all, or could you be committing yourself more.

Started off the year with an amazing group of riders. Teams of 3 rode (and 2 teams of 2) 2026 kcal, which is not an easy task. Max effort must be given to pull your weight for your team. But this group crushed it, and a few people set new PR’s. We followed the ride with cinnamon pecan sticky rolls and and egg/bacon/green chili casserole 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼. Here’s to a year full of health and happiness.

Today is the final day for locking in the 2025 prices. New rates begin tomorrow. If you are not currently in a membership, and you pay monthly (not in a contract) or every 3 months(also not in a contract), we highly recommend signing up for the monthly auto draft rate, it’s the best way to guarantee your low price lasts forever.

Don’t forget, tomorrow we have one class, and it’s FREE for everyone. 9-10:30 cycle & abs. Let’s start the year off with a killer workout 💪🏼🚴
