🏁 WARM SPRINGS RACEWAY IS GETTING BETTER! 🏁

Thanks to our generous donors and dedicated volunteers, Warm Springs Raceway has undergone major improvements to protect the racing surface, support new layouts, and create tighter, more exciting racing.

The newly paved islands will help keep rocks off the racing surface, reducing the risk of driveline damage and helping cars stay on track. This is NOT a slurry coat—traction should not be negatively affected. We expect more consistent conditions while preserving the character of WSR. We’ve tested this approach for the past year with **zero issues. **

There’s still work to do!

🔨 WORK PARTY – SEPTEMBER 5TH @ 9:00 AM

Volunteers are needed for:

• Painting boards
• Constructing barriers
• Track and facility cleanup
• Other finishing touches

⚠️ PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE OR TURN LAPS ON THE FRESH SURFACE. Give it time to properly set up.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has donated time, materials, equipment, and resources. Your support is making this transformation possible. Donations are still welcome!

The transformation has begun—and there’s more to come! 🏁💪

Track Repair Day - Phase 2

🚨 All hands on deck again next Saturday, September 5 as we continue much needed track repairs.

💵 We are putting all of the donations to work! We have collected $8,290.57 in donations so far and have spent $10,000 to fill in all islands with asphalt and do some board repairs.

🙏 We will need to scale up a bit more for paint supplies. Please continue with the donations:

Thank you everyone for your donations! 😃

And a HUGE special thanks to Clinton Smith for working magic to find someone willing to help do this at a reduced rate. 🥰

Anyone who can help pull and paint boards, paint islands and curbs, and sweep and blow off the track would be appreciated. From 7 am till late. 🙏 ⏰ 🚧 🎨

FG Championship Race #3 is in the books. Thanks to all that helped out both days with track duties. It was great to see so many people including those from SoCal, the Central Valley, and upper Northern California. It was a scorcher out there. This is your friendly reminder to please stay hydrated. If you start feeling ill, please let us know. Safety is #1 priority out there.

It was a weekend of many firsts. Here are just a few.

- Ced Collins finishing an entire main. Ok maybe not the first, but certainly a first in quite some time. Good to see him running consistent.

- The smell of fish was in the air. Ask Clinton Smith to sum it all up or in his case, why it doesn't add up.

- Phil Phillips getting the bump up and making the STC A main and finishing the whole 30 minutes. It was also the first time in a weekend, his car has ever seen more than 1 pair of new tires. He's seem what a difference new tires can make.

-First time doing a two-man team race at WSR using the Losi 5T 3.0E. I think everyone had fun and it might lead to more in the future. It was also a first to see Mark Salvatierra, John Burnett, and Bill Lin wheeling an off road car. Could we see them joining us at future MOD Championship series races???

-Jake Alton taking turns on the announcing duties. Thanks for your help. Could we see a new race director in 2027? Hmm. 🤔

- New faces helping out with track setup and tear down. If you are unsure how you can help, just ask.

- DJ John Burnett entertaining us all with his hip hop beats and aromatic scents filling the air. Who knew he had that secret talent spinning the vinyl.

Day 2 of the 2026 West Coast Large Scale Challenge

Just a heads up that qualifying tomorrow (Sunday) will begin promptly at 9am due to today’s technical difficulties. We appreciated everyone’s patience today and hope you enjoyed the free lunch.

Special thanks to Nap Tan for the trip to buy a new computer power supply hoping that was a quick fix. Unfortunately it was worse than expected.

A world of thanks to Brian LaCroix and Nicole LaCroix for there generosity in helping us source a new laptop. Each and everyone of us owe them a thank you otherwise we wouldn’t be racing.

See everyone tomorrow bright and early. 2 quals then straight into the mains.
