Game 14: All stars cc vs Tracy United. All stars win a cracker of a game by 29 runs and clinch the A division league title.π―
Batting first, All stars got off to an amazing start with UZ and Saeed taking full advantage of the power play. Saeed smashed 3 fours and 2 sixes and fell for a beauty of an in sw***er by Taran. 48-1. Nauman Mustafa then came in at No.3 and stabilized the innings with UZ and added 40 odd runs before perishing. At 82-2, All stars were looking set to go for a big score but Tracy bowlers got back into the game by dismissing All stars middle order very quickly and put the pressure back on All stars in a crunch game. Vijaya ram nandula, batting first time for All stars scored clean boundaries to add some more runs to the board before falling to Ali rezaβs slider. At 125-9, All stars were staring down the barrel but Mayank Arora, the man of the summer season for All stars, scored quick boundaries with Bivak supporting from other end and added another 30 odd runs to end the innings at a fighting 157.
Defending 157 in a reduced 30 overs game, Shivraj and Nithin started with consistent lines as they have always done for All stars and kept the run rate in check, and picked a couple of wickets to transfer the pressure back on to Tracy. But Rahul Kukreja had other plans, as he was scoring sixes effortlessly. With just 73 runs to defend and required run rate less than 5 and 8 wickets in hand, the game was slipping away from All stars. But a quick bowling change to bring Uwise worked wonders as he dismissed Rahul. Followed by Mayank, who removed Hussain and Ali all in quick succession to tilt the game in its head. All stars never looked back from then on. Rishi came in to attack and picked up a couple of wickets, adding the pressure. Amer on his debut bowled a very tight spell and picked up a deserving wicket. And to add the finishing touches, Nithin bowled out the last man and guided All stars to a well deserved win and the championship!ππ
Truly a TEAM win and kudos to the whole squad of players who toiled hard all summer to make this possible π―
