Fremont Athletic Association The FAA seeks to get kids playing sports and keep them playing, regardless of physical or financial ability. We want everyone to have Fun!

The Fremont Athletic Association (FAA) is a not for profit service oriented organization established to promote youth sports in the community. We believe that youth who take pride in the community and participate in local programs, regardless of their ability level, will enhance their place and well being. The FAA has been incorporated since 1987. As a volunteer driven group, it is our goal to pro

vide youth the following in a safe, fun environment.

* an avenue for physical fitness and athleticism
* ability to learn the skills and concepts of sports
* demonstrate exemplary sportsmanship
* empower children with self confidence

All of our coaches and volunteers are required to have a background check. All coaches must also complete a certification process that includes both "general coaching procedures and code of ethics" as well as a "sport specific" training program. The organization is insured to protect both players and coaches.

Fremont FC Soccer U12 Boys were the 4th seed going into Championship Weekend. They faced the #1 seed, Kittery on Saturday. The game was tied at the end of regulation 3-3 and went to penalty kicks where Fremont won and moved onto the finals. On Sunday they played the #2 seed, Wells and the game was very close, but Fremont U12 boys won 3-2 in the finals to earn the Costal Division Championship this fall.

What a great season! Congratulations Fremont U12 boys!

Fremont Families:
As a follow-up to my previous message regarding the need for volunteers, I must share that no one has stepped forward to help run the baseball and softball programs. Without immediate action, we will be forced to end both programs after the Spring 2026 season.
If we do not have volunteers in place by the September FAA meeting, in spring this will be the final season for baseball and softball in Fremont. These programs cannot operate without the people who coach, coordinate schedules, manage equipment, and handle the behind-the-scenes work that makes our seasons possible.
We know how much these sports mean to our kids, our families, and our town. But without more hands to share the responsibility, the workload simply cannot be sustained by the few who have been carrying it year after year.
Please attend the September FAA meeting to learn how you can help. Your presence at this meeting is critical to keeping baseball and softball alive in Fremont.
Date: September 10, 2025
Time: 6:30 PM
Location: Fremont Town Hall
If you cannot attend but are willing to volunteer, please reply to this email or contact me directly so we can discuss how you can get involved.

Thank you,
Dana Galvin

Dear Fremont Families,

The Fremont Athletic Association (FAA) is a volunteer, non-profit organization that structures and administrates the sports in Fremont, including Soccer, Baseball, Softball, Basketball, Track, and Volleyball. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to the dedicated board members, associates, coordinators, and coaches - both past and present - who have generously volunteered their time to serve our community.

Two years ago, the FAA experienced significant leadership turnover as many long-time members moved on when their children aged out of the program. Today, we find ourselves at another pivotal moment: our organization urgently needs new board members, associates, a Baseball and Softball Coordinator, and coaches. Despite multiple outreach efforts from our current Baseball and Softball Coordinator, including several emails requesting support -we have not received any responses. As their children are aging out of the program, they have graciously agreed to stay on for one more year to train a successor.

However, without new volunteers stepping forward, we will no longer be able to offer these programs in Fremont.

The FAA holds in-person meetings on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM (next meeting August 13th at 6:30pm) at Town Hall. These meetings are open to the public, and we encourage you to attend and get involved. Meeting announcements are posted on the FAA page.

If you're interested in volunteering, coordinating, or have any questions but are unable to attend our July meeting, please don’t hesitate to email us at: [email protected]

Thank you for supporting Fremont youth sports.

Sincerely,

Dana Galvin
