Saturday we were at Star Speedway for the Don Francis Memorial also the last leg of the Seacoast Late Model Challenge.

Didn’t have raw speed throughout practice but thought fresh tires would make the change needed. We were able to pick up a +3 in qualifying to start us 3rd for the feature. Some impatience started early putting us three wide early shuffling back to 6th and with a few cautions spaced out the tires just never came to what we wanted. We finished out the day in 6th for the race and in the top 3 for the Seacoast Late Model Challenge points. Overall was a alright day get back in the shop and prepare for the next one.

It's race day star speedway!! Qualifying starts at 5pm, it's a great day to support your local short track. 🏁

Race 3 of the Seacoast Latemodel Challenge series last night at Lee USA for the Latemodel 100.

Started the day with some changes from the previous race and was stable and had pretty good speed in the first practice. Then things took a turn in second practice transmission locked up going into turn one and backed it in the wall was able to keep the car from getting absolutely killed.

Have to thank everyone for busting tail in the heat to get the car back together just missed qualifying by a little so we started tail for 100 laps and missed a wreck on the initial start getting to 5th then going on a long green flag run to get to 3rd. Final restart of the race came later and got to second after a car running second unfortunately broke but to get on the podium after the start to the day we had is a win.

Onto the next one and final race of the Seacoast Latemodel challenge next Saturday at Star Speedway in the Don Francis Memorial 85!

🚨Raceday Recap

Back at Lee USA Speedway for the second portion of the Late Model Seacoast Challenge Firecracker 100!
It was a hot one but through practice we kind of struggled with finding speed.
Moving to qualifying on newer tires thought would be the answer but still just wasn’t enough ending up P2 giving us a plus one to roll off P7 in the feature.
We made a swing on the car right before the feature we weren’t sure would work but ended up being the stride we needed.
After the checkers flew we crossed the line P5 have to thank my crew for sticking it out in the heat and all the great sponsors that stand behind us each race wouldn’t be possible with all the help of them! Hope everyone has a great and safe holiday weekend!
