Three years ago, Jess and I had an idea. We wanted to take something difficult our family was going through and turn it into something positive. Something that would help our daughter, help other families, and hopefully make a difference.
What we didn't anticipate was just how many people would get behind us.
Yesterday, our 3rd Annual Pease Family Fund Golf Tournament brought in $25,830 in total event revenue.
An incredible number, and something we're extremely proud of. But honestly, the money isn't what stands out to us the most.
It's the people.
Every year, this event has grown into something more than Jess and I ever imagined. More friends, more families, more businesses, and more people willing to give their time and resources to help us build something special.
This year in particular, we had families who really took ownership of this event alongside us. Helping plan, organize, coordinate, and handle so many of the things that go into making a day like this happen. People who have their own families, jobs, and responsibilities, but still found the time to help ours. It has been truly humbling.
We can't begin to tell you what that means to us.
To all of our sponsors, thank you. Especially Battlefield Automotive, our presenting sponsor, Puyenpa, our Albatross Sponsor, Chic-Fil-A, our Eagle Sponsor, and to our birdie sponsor's Matan, Leading Design & Development, and Osprey Contracting, whose continued generosity has played such a significant role in making this event possible. To every single business that supported us, donated, or contributed in any way, we are incredibly grateful.
And to our friends and family who continue to show up year after year, whether you're planning behind the scenes, volunteering, golfing, or simply supporting the mission, thank you. We want to personally thank The Miller Family, The Crunkilton Family, The Galvas Family, The Dionne Family, The Oravetz Family, The Pease Family, and The Thomson Family.
One of the most special moments of the day for us was watching Isabella and her friend Abby, two 5th grade girls living with Type 1 diabetes, stand in front of everyone and share a little bit of their stories.
As parents, Jess and I have always wanted Isabella to understand that even when life throws something difficult your way, you can still find a way to make something positive out of it. You can fight through adversity, keep moving forward, and never give up.
But maybe even more importantly, we want her to know that she's never alone.
That people care. That people show up. That there's an entire community standing behind her and other children just like her.
And that's exactly what all of you have continued to show us.
What started as something deeply personal to our family has become a mission that so many of you have embraced as your own.
We're incredibly proud of what the Pease Family Fund is becoming, and even more grateful for the people who are helping us build it.
From our family to yours, thank you for another incredible year.
We are greatly looking forward to finally being able to release the grants on an annual basis, which our fund was designed for from the beginning. What has taken a multi-year timeline in terms of time and patience toward reaching, we have finally gotten there, so stay tuned for our first grant release soon!
