✨ Summer cleaning has officially begun! ✨

Now that our June classes wrapped up last night, I spent today getting started on some deep cleaning at the studio. I began in our Frazee studio since we’ll be hosting yoga classes there next week.

With two locations and multiple studio spaces, getting everything cleaned, organized, and ready for another season is a big project. It usually takes me most of the summer to work my way through it all, but today was a great start!

Here’s a little peek at the behind-the-scenes work that happens when classes aren’t in session. More cleaning, organizing, and studio refreshes are still to come as we get ready for an amazing Season 21! 💙🩰✨

Happy Birthday to our fearless leader. As a young girl, she had a dream of owning a studio. Through hard work and determination, she is stepping into her 21st year of Northern Lights Dance Academy. She has changed the lives for so many children through her years of dedication and so much heart. Happy Birthday Kendal!!

✨ Hi, I’m Kendall Ware! ✨

For those who may be new here, I am the owner and director of Northern Lights Dance Academy. Twenty years ago, I opened the studio with a dream of creating a place where dancers could learn, grow, and discover their love of dance. Today, my passion for dance—especially ballet and the traditions it carries—is stronger than ever.

One of the greatest joys of this journey has been watching hundreds of dancers step into our studios, gain confidence, achieve goals, and experience those unforgettable moments when something finally clicks. Those moments never get old.

Behind the scenes, you’ll find me answering emails, keeping the studio running, and cheering on every dancer along the way. 💙💛💙💛

As we prepare for Season 21, I am filled with gratitude, excitement, and anticipation for all that is ahead. Thank you for being part of the Northern Lights Dance Academy family. I can’t wait to see what this season brings!

☀️Summer Dance Starts Tomorrow!

The countdown is over! We can’t wait to welcome all of our dancers back to the studio as we kick off our June Summer Dance Camps tomorrow!

Over the next two weeks, dancers will have the opportunity to strengthen their technique, build confidence, learn new skills, and continue growing as artists. From first steps to advanced training, every class is a chance to learn, improve, and have fun doing what we love.

Get ready for exciting classes, new challenges, lots of laughter, and plenty of dancing! We are so excited to spend part of our summer with such an amazing group of dancers.

Last week, we celebrated a very special milestone — our amazing instructor turning 40! 🎉💙

We truly could not do the studio without her. Her passion, dedication, creativity, and love for every dancer shines through in everything she does. She brings so much joy, positivity, and energy into every class, and our dancers are so lucky to learn from her each week.

Over the years, she has earned numerous choreography awards and continues to inspire everyone around her with her talent and commitment to dance. Beyond the awards and accomplishments, she creates a space where dancers feel confident, encouraged, and loved.

Thank you for everything you do for our studio family. We are beyond grateful for you and hope this year brings you as much happiness as you bring to all of us. Help us wish her a very happy 40th birthday! 🎂✨

As we end our 2025-2026 season, we say our farewells to some very important people. Our seniors have been such amazing role models and we are so proud of all of their accomplishments. Congratulations dancers. Remember…you will always have a home at NLDA.

Bring a Friend to Dance Week is almost here, and we can’t wait to see all of our dancers and their friends in class having so much fun together! We have lots of exciting activities and surprises planned throughout the week, and it’s going to be full of energy, laughter, and dancing.

Please remember to bring your friend, your biggest smile, and lots of energy to class. Whether it’s their very first dance class or they already love to dance, we can’t wait to share our dance family with them and make unforgettable memories together! 💖✨
