Studio Spotlight❤️

Soloist, Harper Wilkinson, has been dancing since she was 3 years old, and has developed into a beautiful performer. As the youngest Coastal Dance soloist ever promoted, she has graced the stage in several roles you may recall. Here’s a few of our favorites:

🩵Melusine, The Water Sprite, Red Riding Hood and the Wolf
🪆Matryoshka Doll, The Nutcracker
⚔️Knave of Hearts, Alice in Wonderland

+ many more though the years!

Harper took her final bow in our studio on Tuesday, before her and her family embark on a new adventure in Kansas City! Harper, we love you, will miss you, and are so proud of you.🤍

Keep dancing & we can’t wait to see all the wonderful things you’ll do!

There’s a 100% chance of Ballet on the Beach tonight!🌊🐚🥥

Instead of regular class tonight, we will be hosting ballet on the beach at 6 PM as detailed in the announcement sheet that went home earlier this week. Come wearing something comfortable that you’re able to move in. Dancers are welcome to get in the water after the class! Parents must stay if their dancer is swimming.

📍Gulf Place in Gulf Shores - we will meet at the green space near the Hangout.
🕰️ 6PM - 7PM
✨ We would love to snap some photos of our dancers in action! Coastal Dance logo attire encouraged.

This class is open to everyone! Invite your friends, parents can participate, and get ready for a splash-worthy dance class.🤍🩰

Bring a towel, a water bottle, and a CD logo item if you have it!

Big Sister Class was absolutely perfect!🤍🩰 Thank you to the older dancers for coming into the younger classes and loving on our up-and-coming ballerinas. We are so proud of the community we have built in the studio and adore how our soloists set such a wonderful example for those who look up to them.🩵✨

BIG SISTER CLASS HERE WE COME🩰☀️👑💋

While the weather was less than perfect earlier this week, we’re planning to be back in action tomorrow with Big Sister class!🥳

Big Sister class is an opportunity for our older students to show some love to the little ones moving up in the studio. There will be class time, craft time, and time spent with the girls in the older levels! We will work on everything from tying your ballet shoes, to ballet buns, to professional tips and tricks for our soloists.

Due to the tropical storm rolling in, Coastal Dance classes have been cancelled for today 7/21.

While the storm may or may not impact the Foley area, our team knows that coastal weather can turn on a dime. The safety of our dancers, and the peace of mind for our families, is most important to us. Thank you for your patience as we have watched the weather today.

The weather may be completely fine this evening, but it is not a risk we are willing to take when it comes to our ballerinas.

Stay home, stay safe, and please email us individually if you have any questions. We expect to be back in class Thursday, but will let everyone know if that changes as soon as possible.

Poetry in Motion🩵🩰🎨📚

Our student-run fundraising event officially has a date! Join us the evening of September 4, 2026 at the new Foley Community Library for an night of performing arts, poetry, activities, local vendors, and more.

All proceeds go towards our studio space for this fall. A ticket link will be available soon, so stay tuned on our socials for updates. Donations will be accepted leading up to the event & during! For any local businesses interested in contributing or participating, please email us at [email protected]

To our dancers, all deadlines for submissions will be released this week!

New students! Coastal Dance is ready to welcome you to our fall season.🩰🤍

Starting at age 3, Coastal Dance Company offers classes in ballet and contemporary in Foley, Alabama.

This year, we’ll be moving into our new studio space, adding more classes for our dancers & families, hosting fundraisers and community events, and performing our 2026 Nutcracker Ballet this December!✨
