Today our senior dancers recognized teachers that have impacted their lives! Mirna recognized Mrs. Parker, Kylee recognized Mr. Lane, Charlotte recognized Mrs. Parker, Sarah recognized Mrs. Champion, and Jayda recognized Mrs. Houston!

Let's meet our final dance team member, senior Mirna Zelaya!!

Mirna's favorite dance style is hip hop, and this is her first year of dance!

Mirna's favorite thing about being a part of the Foley High Dance team is the bond with everyone on the team. She loves creating memories, supporting each other, and getting to do what she loves with people who feel like family! Her favorite memory with her teammates is their first dance camp!

Mirna's favorite band chant is Old Cadence!

One thing that most people might be surprised to learn about Mirna is that she just started dancing this year! Dancing is completely new to her, but she has grown to love it so much and she is so grateful to get the opportunity to be a part of the Foley High Dance Team!

Three words that Mirna feels describe her are energetic, bubbly, and caring. Her teammates describe her as funny, thoughtful, inviting, nurturing, talented, and a great hype man!

One thing that Mirna would like to share with the Foley community is that she has grown up in Foley her whole life and she is proud to call it her hometown. Being a Latina, it means so much to her to represent not only Foley, but also her Latin community and culture. She hopes to continue creating connections, making memories, and making everyone feel represented and included!

Meet our next dancer, senior Charlotte Purdy!

Charlotte's favorite style of dance is hip hop, and she has been dancing for 13 years!

Charlotte's favorite thing about being a part of the Foley High Dance team is making such special relationships with her teammates. Her favorite memory is learning the individual choreography for the band chants that each team member choreographed. She loved seeing everyone's creativity work so well together!

One surprising thing about Charlotte is that she has never been on an upside-down roller coaster!

Charlotte's favorite activity in Foley is going out to eat every Wednesday after church with her friends!

Three words that Charlotte feels describe her are loyal, respectful, and accepting. Her teammates describe her as kind-hearted, passionate, courageous, funny, kind, dependable, and creative!

The thing that Charlotte would like to share with the Foley community is, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

Jayda's favorite dance style is contemporary and she has been dancing for 13 years!

Jayda's favorite thing about being on the Foley High Dance team is growing closer to the girls on the team. Her favorite memory is being all excited after doing their first pregame!

Jayda's favorite band chant is Booga Boom!

One thing that might surprise you about Jayda is that she has known how to do a backflip since she was 6 years old!

Jayda's favorite place in Foley is anywhere outside!

Three words that Jayda feels describe her are funny, encouraging, and loving. Jayda's teammates describe her as fearless, determined, friendly, caring, loving, brave, and talented.
