Foley Parks & Rec is offering a two-week tennis clinic for ages 8-18 at Melvin Roberts Park. Beginner and intermediate sessions are available, but space is limited!

Help us wish “GOOD LUCK” to Vincent Ball! Today, he will compete in the AHSAA All-Star North/South Tennis match. Vincent is the second player in Foley High Tennis history to have this honor. Good luck Vincent and Go Lions

Fresh cuts for State!!

About a month ago, one of our senior leaders issued a challenge to the boys' team. He said, “Guys, if we go to state, we all have to get a buzz cut!” There was some apprehension, but they eventually “tentatively” agreed. There were still several matches to be won, but there was a clear goal in mind.

Well, one month later, we followed through on the agreement. Haircuts are temporary, but the character to keep one’s word, the memory of being a close team, and the friendships at this stage in life are forever. No matter the result on Monday and Tuesday, we are proud of this team’s character and camaraderie.

Our tennis teams SHOWED 👏🏾 OUT 👏🏾 at the sectional tournament last Thursday and Friday!! Our girls did an amazing job and placed 4th out of 9 teams. in the section with several players advancing to the semifinals and our #3 doubles team (Emmarie Avery and Clara Reiff) advancing to the finals.

For the first time in over a decade, our boys team is and will advance to the AHSAA state tournament next Monday and Tuesday, 4/20-4/21 at the Mobile Tennis Center! Our team knew this was the goal all season. We knew we had to execute and did exactly that. Through defeating teams that they lost to in the regular season, tough play, and 5 flights that advanced to the finals ( #1 Doubles: Nathan Vecsey/Sawyer McGowan, #2 Doubles: Vincent Ball/Ronin Bryce, #2 Singles: Vincent Ball, #3 Singles: Sawyer McGowan, #6 Singles: Kior Ball), they are your AHSAA Class 7A Section 1 Runner Ups.

We’re so proud of both of our teams and what they have accomplished this season! Keep cheering us on as we head to state next week!!
