Flushing Karate lost another great student from the past last week
Zachary Baxter Dan #64031
Zachary trained with us from 2008-2014 achieving the rank of Cho Dan in August of 2014. He was a fantastic student with a great attitude and a huge smile on his face. Our condolences go out to his family

Dan #68008 Michael Thomas Urmetz

Mr Urmetz began his training in 2011 With the goal of achieving his Black Belt before his disease took over his life. He earned his Black Belt in August of 2014, Earned his 2nd Degree in August of 2016 but had to retire in 2018. Mr. Urmetz was a wonderful student that loved his training and loved helping others. We kept in touch through the years hoping he could return some day. Unfortunately Mr Urmetz Passed away on December 31, 2025. Tang Soo Mr. Urmetz we will miss you!
