Fleming County Panther Ben Rickey punches his ticket to the KHSAA Golf State Finals at Bowling Green Country Club!!

Rickey portayed tremendous grit and resilience throughout his round at the KHSAA Golf State First Round today at Wi******er Country Club, battling through the high wind and fast greens.

Coming down to the wire, knowing a birdie was needed on the 18th hole to survive and advance, he stiffs his approach shot to 6 ft. leaving a tough left-to-right slider in which he go on to make.

Congratulations Ben Rickey on advancing to the KHSAA Golf State Finals and representing Fleming County High School to a high standard!

Fleming County Panthers Golf completed their season yesterday, competing in the 12th Region Tournament at Laurel Oaks in Maysville, Ky. The Panthers grinded out the long round with no quit, falling short as a team to extend the postseason with a team score of 322.

Ben Rickey led the panthers with an incredible round of 1-under-par 71, securing region individual runner-up, advancing to the KHSAA State Tournament First Round.

Congratulations to the panthers on another great season and good luck to Ben Rickey as he will compete on Tuesday, September 30th in the KHSAA State Tournament First Round at Wi******er Country Club.

The Panthers head into postseason play next Tuesday, September 23rd at the 12th Region Tournament in Maysville, Ky. at Laurel Oaks Golf Club. At this time we would like to congratulate each player on the team for a great regular season.

Collectively, the panthers competed in 17 tournaments this season across the state. The Panthers finished with 5 top 15, 8 top 10, 2 top 5 and a 3rd place finish at the EKC Championship as a team.

The Junior Varsity Team competed in 6 matches, coming out with 1 win and four 2nd place finishes as well as gaining some tournament experience competing as a "B" team in two tournaments.

Fleming County Panthers Golf competed this evening in the EKC Championship at Hidden Cove Golf Course. The Panthers grinded out the nine hole round to finish in 3rd place as a team.

Junior Ben Rickey lead the Panthers, firing an impressive one-over-par 37. Rickey garnered a second place finish individually after falling short on a scorecard playoff with an individual from Russell Independent.

The Panthers head into postseason play at the 12th Region Tournament at Laurel Oaks on September 23rd.

Hunter Arrasmith represented Fleming County High School in a high fashion at the 2A Golf State Championship on Monday. The well manicured Owensboro Country Club played tough, with steady wind throughout the round. Carding a 6-over-par 78, Arrasmith garnered a well deserved T-10 finish.
