🎉🛼 Happy Birthday, Needles and Threats #11! 🛼🎉

Needles joined HARD in 2023 and has been doing the derby with us ever since! ❤️🖤

Her favorite thing about derby? The way it continues to push her out of her comfort zone every day and challenges her to keep growing. 💪✨

And you can always count on finding pretzels or something sour hiding in her track bag. 🥨🍋

🎉 Happy Birthday, Novacaine! 🎉

Nova joined HARD in 2022 and has been rolling with us ever since! What started as putting on a pair of skates turned into competing around the world — something they never imagined they’d be doing. 🛼✨

When Nova isn’t out there doing derby things, you can probably find her enjoying a halftime pickle, gummies… or the ultimate combo: piickle gummies. 😂🥒🍬

We’re so lucky to have you as part of HARD, Nova! We hope your birthday is full of good vibes, great snacks, and absolutely zero penalties. 💚

After Pirates vs. Mermaids, come hang out with us at our official afterparty Starlite Lanes starting at 7:30 PM!

We’ll be trading skates for bowling shoes and celebrating with our skaters, friends, and fans. Come say hi, bowl a few frames, and hang out with us off the track! ❤️🖤

Did you know? Many roller derby skaters love the sport so much that they don't stop skating when they travel!

One of the coolest things about the roller derby community is how welcoming it is. Many leagues open their practices to travel skaters, giving visitors the chance to drop in, skate, and learn alongside a new team (typically for a small drop-in fee).

Skating with different leagues is a great way to experience new coaching styles, strategies, and gameplay while meeting incredible people from all over. Every practice is a chance to grow both on and off the track!

Check out some of our skaters who have traveled and skated with other teams over the last year or so! We're so proud of them for representing our league wherever they roll. ❤️🖤
