This week we are highlighting the last new game to the league - Precision Distance!

📋Objective:
- Make progressively longer and more accurate throws and catches
- Starting from a designated distance, teams aim to complete a catch in the End Zone

✅ Rules Summary:
- Played on standard Toss & Fetch field
- Begin at 10 yards, progressing in 5- or 10-yard increments
- 3 attempts per distance
- 3 consecutive misses = Strike Out
- May pass on any distance (misses carry over if applicable)
- 1 disc in play; must reset after each throw
- Handler must release behind throwing line
- Dog must be fully across End Zone line and in bounds for catch to count
- Mulligan: 1 extra attempt allowed once per Team
- Longest successful distance determines placement

🧐 Strategy Tips:
- Choose your starting distance based on confidence, no need to start at 10 yards
- Use your mulligan wisely at a distance you’re confident you can clear
- Practice footwork to avoid foot faults, they count as misses
- Longer throws demand more time and control, take a breath and set your shot
- Passing lower distances can save a dog’s energy, but increases pressure

These individual World Games are played once a season at any time! So it’s never too late to join us for the frisbee fun!

This week we are highlighting the new game called Speed Retrieve!

🥏Objective:
- Complete two successful catches at a declared distance, secure the dog behind the starting line, and signal “TIME” as fast as possible.
- Fastest time in each distance zone wins

✅ Rules Summary:
- Uses standard 50-yard Toss & Fetch field
- Teams select two distance zones (10, 20, 30, 40 yards)
Each round:
- Starts on “Ready, Set, Go”
- Ends when: 2 catches at declared distance completed + dog, handler & disc behind start line + disc held overhead.
- One disc in play (plus optional lure or lure disc)
- One 1st throw Mulligan per round
- Rollers allowed if declared
- Throw must leave handler’s hand before the “T” in “TIME”
- One-minute max per round; incomplete = DNF

📋Exceptions to League Rules:
- No out-of-bounds applies
- Roller throws allowed (must be declared)
- Third-party dog holder allowed for launch
- Only one disc may be used in play per round
- Time may exceed 60 seconds if final throw was made before “T” in “TIME”

👍Strategy Tips
- Use a friend or teammate to restrain the dog at the start for faster launches
- Choose distances based on your dog’s speed vs. accuracy trade-off
- Practice tight, fast hand-offs to minimize return time
- Don’t rush the first throw—an accurate catch is worth more than a wild miss

We are running these games throughout the season, and you only have to play once to submit a score to the league unlike our weekly rounds. If you want to come give these new world games a try message us or let us know in the comments below!
