Canyon Explorations/Expeditions specializes in oar and paddle trips on the Colorado River. Traveling down the river at human powered speeds gives all participants the opportunity to truly get in tune with nature and connect to the surrounding environment. We are a family owned and operated business focused on providing the best river experience in the Grand Canyon. We have been refining our unique
trip experience since 1987 with a goal of combining exploration and adventure with education and environmental awareness. We offer two unique trip styles, a Hybrid Trip and an All Paddle trip. On a hybrid trip you have the full range of boat options available to you each day. These options include riding on one of the 5 oars boats, participating as a paddler in the paddle boat or paddling one of our two inflatable kayaks (available most days). On an all paddle trip each participant will be in one of the three paddle boats and four oar boats will carry all the gear. We also offer select trips with a speciality focus. Some specialty focus trips include: botany, astronomy, music (w/string quartet), and hiking. We would love to have you join us for the trip of a lifetime through Grand Canyon!
