All summer the world has been reaching outward. Growing, flowering, ripening. Now fall is arriving, and nature is beginning the ancient work of release. It doesn’t resist. It simply becomes faithful to another part of the cycle.
There is a teaching here for us as yogis. Our practice asks us to become faithful to the whole of life. To beginnings and becoming, and to endings. To what has ripened and is complete.
Our Sunday Supper, both Equinox yoga classes, and a Sound Bath Ritual are all offered by donation, and the entirety of every donation will go to Solace Home, a Madison home providing safe shelter and compassionate end-of-life care for people who are terminally ill and experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. There could hardly be a more fitting organization to support as we honor a season that reminds us that endings, too, are sacred.
