🐴📚 Did you know learning at Windwalker Farms doesn’t stop when students can’t make it to the barn?
That’s where our Virtual Lessons come in!
When a student misses their scheduled riding lesson due to illness, an emergency, poor road conditions, or another last-minute cancellation (less than one week’s notice), we provide a prerecorded educational lesson through a private YouTube link in place of their in-person lesson.
🎓 Why Virtual Lessons?
Because becoming a well-rounded equestrian involves so much more than time in the saddle! Our virtual lessons give students the opportunity to expand their knowledge of horse care, safety, behavior, anatomy, and training. These are all important pieces of developing confident, knowledgeable, and capable horsemen!
🐎 October’s Virtual Lesson: Horse Anatomy — Learning the Parts of a Horse!
Students who have received a virtual lesson this October have been learning to identify the different parts of a horse’s body and why that knowledge matters!
From communicating more effectively with instructors and veterinarians to recognizing potential injuries and building a stronger foundation for future riding lessons, even the basics play an important role in horsemanship!
