Friday 6/19/26 Race Night
The GMR McGrewBid Motoplex misfortune strikes again! This track has something against us for sure! This is our 5th race at this track, and Bobby Geiman has had one finish. It has always been a DNF out of his control as the driver. Friday night’s gremlin was the motor blew when he took the green for his Heat race! 😟
Bobby Geiman had a brand new set up to try out in the car. He got some new ideas from another guy who raced awhile back & he enjoys talking racing set ups - Mike Rankin. It looked to be a good set up, and we were excited to give it a try.
So during hot laps (you can see that video posted), the 10G was definitely taking the turns easily but the car seemed slow and under-powered. Bobby decided to make a gear change for the heat race in order to put all the pieces together and move his car forward. Bobby started P7 in Heat 3.
When the cars took the green, Bobby and the 10G were moving but super slowly. He followed the pack around 1 lap and into the infield with a puff of smoke 💨 from his motor, and a push back to the pits. Back at our trailer, we thought maybe we could change out spark plugs and go, but we got to see into the motor at the fragments of the pistons in there. So we will change out motors this week, and get the 10G set up for Friday 6/26/26 at Bridgeport Speedway in New Jersey!
