Yesterday the Escanaba Berserkers competed in the first tournament in club history at Tequila10s.
It was everything grassroots rugby is supposed to be. Hard hits, great competition, shared players, new friendships, and clubs coming together to grow the game.
Throughout the day players rotated in to help different sides and keep matches competitive. By the end of the tournament everybody was battling together, laughing together, and finishing the day with rugby tradition.
Escanaba capped off the day by winning the boat race championship.
We also want to give a huge thank you to Fox Cities Gargoyles Rugby Club for the hospitality throughout the tournament and for presenting our club with a plaque recognizing our debut tournament. That meant a lot to us as a new club.
Beautiful weather. Great rugby. Great people. Exactly the kind of culture we want to keep building in the U.P.

We practice every Wednesday and Thursday at 7 PM at Ludington Park in Escanaba.

History starts May 16th.
The Escanaba Berserkers Rugby Club will take the pitch for the first official tournament appearance in club history at Tequila 10s in Greenville, Wisconsin.
What started as a conversation has turned into a team representing the U.P. in Midwest rugby competition.
The Berserkers will face:
10:30 AM vs Green Bay Celtics
12:00 PM vs Fox Cities Gargoyles
This is only the beginning.
Appreciate Fox Cities Gargoyles for hosting and giving new clubs an opportunity to compete.
