Race recap for last weekend at Canaan! Practice all day Saturday, race all day Sunday = our favorite kind of weekend. Aleigha had a heck of a race day! First moto of the day she got 1st in her age group. But she was humbled in moto 2 learning a big lesson not to follow & take your own line. It cost her quite a few spots when the rider in-front of her stalled & she got caught up… she went 1-7 for 4th OA. 65 open girlie pop stayed consistent & went 2-2 for 2nd OA. Girls had some good battles first lap in moto 1 she was 4th into the holeshot and worked her way up to 2nd and in moto two ran 5th then made the pass for 4th then 3rd! She went 2-3 for 2nd OA. Aleigha also went out on her 85 for some seat time 6-7 7th OA.

Late post recap for our double header at NHMX 8/15 & 8/16. The competition that weekend was so fun to watch & be up against! Aleigha had some great battles and she worked hard - especially her last race of the day on her 85 she made 3 passes! Getting there!! Sunday was the ultimate test - Aleigha’s clutch cable broke & we had 4 races until she was up. Tyler worked like a mad man to remove one off her other bike & install it as the 65s were lining up. Thanks to his quick work & incredible mechanic skills, she jumped on & a few fellow 65 Dads got her through the crowd to get her on the track. Even though her class already took off the gate she fought hard to catch up. Saturday results: girls 5-5 5th OA, 65 age 7-7 7th OA, 65 open 11-16 14th OA, 85 age 13-14 14th OA. Sunday results: girls 4-5 5th OA, 65 age 9-7 7th OA, 65 open 8-10 10th OA, 85 age 12-11 13th OA. Motocross has a lot of highs and lows, and Aleigha got to feel them all this weekend. From being at the very top to being at the bottom. It’s all about balance & that’s truly what makes a good racer! Saturday she was on a mission at WSP. Girls 1-1 1st OA 🥹 - she pulled away from the pack first lap in both motos, held her own, & enjoyed the ride. 65 age moto 1 off the start she was up front running 2nd the entire race absolutely flying, moto 2 her bike bogged out while running 3rd - rookie mistake on moms part for forgetting to turn her gas on - she charged best she could to make up her time; she went 2-6 for 5th OA. 65 open - the best race of the day she battled with her buddy Mav the entire moto 1. It was hands down one of her best races we’ve ever watched. She went 5-8 for 6th OA. 85 age- were making progress 9-9 9th OA. Sunday at Canaan started out as a mudder. Her first motos were spot on - she grabbed the holeshot in girls, but the race was red flagged. Off the gate again 8th into the hole shot & charged up to 3rd. Moto 2 is where the day went down hill - she went down hard right out of the gate (video included 😅). She pulled herself together & got back on her bike, went down again trying to charge with a swollen wrist & hurting thigh - hit her head pretty hard — thankfully she knew when to let off & she let up for the rest of the day which included 65 open and 85 age. She said she wouldn’t miss her motos, but she’d take it easy. Girls 3-13 8th OA, 65 age 1-4 2nd OA, 65 open 10-4 7th OA, 85 age 5-11 8th OA. Aleigha never gives up despite weather, bike troubles, or injuries and we are so proud of her determination!! Late post — Race recap NEMX round 1 at our favorite MX207! Fierce competition between NEMX and Maine motocross this weekend. Aleigha had some intense battles, especially in the girls class! Up against a few 85s on her 65 and she proved herself — making passes & finally getting a little 🤏🏽 aggressive. Girls 8-7 7th OA
In 65 open she ended up last after going down in the first turn in moto 2 — 23 riders & she fought her way back up to 12th!! 65 open 12-12 10th OA
65 age came & unfortunately when the gate dropped in moto 1 she stalled. After another attempt to get off the gate, we noticed her sprocket had a loose bolt & she had to settle for a DNS. She didn’t let that stop her, she used her disappointment / anger to fight hard in moto 2 & battled for 4th. 65 age DNS-4 7th OA
85 age she impressed us with her speed and jumping! She’s been improving each week with the new bike & she is realizing that the 85 is faster & it might even be a little more fun…. It’s only a matter of time until she only wants to race the 85. 85 age 11-9 9th OA. The sun is starting to go down sooner & we are realizing there’s not much time left of racing. We are more than halfway through the season & it wouldn’t be possible to get where we are without those who sponsor Aleigha & are in her corner. Race recap from this past weekend! Two days, two different tracks. Surprise… Aleigha got an 85!! And she wanted to race it this weekend. Saturday we had the first round of fall series at WSP. Her race bike is getting some work done so she decided to race her back up bike. 65 age 6-5 6th OA, 65 open she had some really great battles which was fun to watch 9-9 8th OA, girls 2-3 3rd OA, 85 age 11-11 11th OA. She was exhausted by the end of the day but had a blast! Sunday we hit up Canaan & had some hard fought battles! 65 age 5-4 3rd OA, 65 open 5-4 4th OA, 3-4 3rd OA, 85 age 5-7 7th OA. She’s really loving the 85 and is looking forward to continuing to improve on it!

Race recap for Saturday — NEW TRACK ALERT 🚨
NEMX brought us all the way up to Maine to finish off the spring series at Hemond's MX & Offroad Park! Although we’ve never rode here before, Aleigha took it as an opportunity for growth/learning & she killed it! 65 age 6-6 6th OA, girls 13-11 12th OA & drum roll pleaseeee … 65 open 8-3 for 4th OA!! First ever top 5 in open which was a complete MUDDER! It was a fun day at a new track that we are looking forward to getting back to some day.
