New England Dragway & Motorsports Park

New England Dragway & Motorsports Park NED Office Is Open Mon-Fri. Racing is held on Wed, Fri, Sat & Sundaaay's from April thru October! New England Dragway is NHRA's premier track in New England.

Today, New England Dragway, still owned by many of the racers who built it along with a new crop of shareholders, is the only 1/4 mile drag strip in New England. It is open four days a week from the beginning of April through the end of October featuring everything from grudge racing to world class events like the NHRA Lucas Oil Divisional Race and beginning in 2012 is scheduled to host a NHRA Full Throttle Series Race. Following it’s credo, “Built by racers for racers,” New England Dragway continues improving its facility in order to keep pace with a new generation of racers who bring faster and more complex machines to race at its legendary quarter mile. Over the years new grandstands have replaced many of the old bleachers purchased used from a Massachusetts university. It’s old PA system gave way to a state of the art sound system featuring Bose acoustics. In 2010 the concrete pad was extended from 745 feet to 1320 feet followed by a specialized finishing process to make the entire quarter mile smooth and fast. Net result? A New England Dragway that is ready to usher in a new era of drag racing excitement!

THIS WEEK AT NEW ENGLAND DRAGWAY🙌🏼

First, we want to clear up a rumor: the 60th Anniversary Celebration has NOT been moved to this Sunday, 9/20. As much as we would have loved to make that happen, rescheduling the entire event simply wasn’t possible.

The Special Showcase of Historic Drag Cars is the only part of the anniversary celebration moving to this Sunday - & it’s the perfect addition to an already action-packed Camsnappers Old Fashioned Nostlgia Sunday!

SUNDAY EVENT CANCELED

Unfortunately, due to tomorrow’s forecast, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Sunday’s 60th Anniversary Celebration.

We waited as long as we reasonably could, hoping the forecast would turn in our favor. With the Nostalgia Funny Cars, exhibition vehicles, historic drag cars, car show participants & fans traveling from across New England & beyond, we needed to make the call today.

This is especially disappointing during a weekend meant to celebrate 60 years of New England Dragway. A tremendous amount of time& effort went into planning Sunday, & we know how many of you were looking forward to being here.

Thank you to everyone who planned to race, display a car, perform or attend - & to everyone who helped bring the celebration together behind the scenes.

We may not get the Sunday we planned, but one day of weather cannot erase 60 years of history. Thank you for continuing to be part of it.

TODAY, NEW ENGLAND DRAGWAY TURNS 60.

On September 11, 1966, the first cars rolled through the gates & down the track. No one standing here that day could have known just how many lives this place would become part of.

For 60 years, New England Dragway has been built & carried forward by racers, fans, families, shareholders, employees, & volunteers. Generations have celebrated wins here, worked through losses, broken records, made friends & created memories that extend far beyond the finish line.

A racetrack is made of asphalt, concrete & steel. But this one has lasted six decades because of its PEOPLE.

This weekend is about celebrating all of them & everything that has happened here since opening day - September 11, 1966.

LET'S CELEBRATE 60 YEARS🎉🏎️💨

Since 1966, New England Dragway has been more than just a racetrack. It has been a second home, a gathering place & the backdrop to countless memories for generations of racers, fans, families & friends.

It would be impossible to fit 60 years of New England Dragway history into one day, but on Sunday, September 13, we’re bringing a little bit of it back to the track with 10 Nostalgia Funny Cars, the Airborne Express Wheelstander, Nostalgia Racing, a special display of Nostalgia Drag Cars, & a Throwback Car Show for vehicles 1999 & older.

Admission is only $10, kids 12 & under are FREE, & qualifying car show vehicles & their drivers get in FREE!
