What a not great way to end the 2026 racing season. Came to Star Speedway in Epping with high hopes for pre howler and left sad and dazed. Car was set up 12/10 I loved it. Had great speed. Seemed like 2 other cars were slightly faster but we had a top 3 to top 5 car. Our heat race was insane we beat our old time record and finally got into the 16 second range. Finished 3rd and started 6th place in the feature. Not the best spot to start but we were gonna manage. Avoided a wreck that happened in front of us between 2 cars. Restarted 4th, outside again not great but we can manage. We restart go around and something either locked up, broke, or we lost grip and while turning suddenly start going straight into the wall. We hit it and that was all she wrote. Not happy about it. Frame is slightly bent in, fenders damaged, hoods damaged, bumpers bent. We will make the necessary repairs over the winter and prepare for 2027. Thankfully im healthy and having no major issues besides some neck aches but no concussion symptoms so far.

Unfortunately my helmet camera was not working.

We had a huge turn around season at Star this year. Thank you to Bobby Webber, you're family, the track crews whether you're in the tower, in the infield, or the pits for everything that you do. I can't wait to do this again next year.

And a big thank you to any fans that have supported us this year whether at Star or anywhere else we've been. We hope to see you next year.

We are set up, locked & loaded. Tomorrow night is our last race of the 2026 season. It’s $10 for general admission which is insane in today’s expensive economy. A great lineup of races for only $10 tomorrow night. Come watch, cheer, and support us as we go at it one more time this year in the chase for a win! We can’t wait to see you at Star Speedway in Epping tomorrow.

What? You thought it was over? We still have 1 MORE RACE at star to be in! Come support us this Friday! Today Janowiec Racing had the opportunity to assist the Fraser family at Hudson speedway as Joey hopped in a street stock for the race at Hudson. It was fun learning a few things about street stock racing & pit crewing. Thank you for the opportunity!

OUR STAR SPEEDWAY CHAMPIONSHIP RACE!!!! Its taken a few days for me to decompress, process, and relax about championship night. I think we had a great year and a lot of progress leading up to Friday night. We started the night in 3rd place. When our heat race came around we had an AMAZING setup! Lots of speed while the first points place car didn't. This gave us some confidence for the night. Started mid pack in the feature, right next to the first place car. I saw the 79M & 28 both get sent to the rear and once that happened I knew things changed dramatically for the championship. Due to the track conditions and where we would restart (on the outside) I started to lose control during the later part of the race due to the tires heating up, track heating up, and just the conditions worseinging. As a result I fell back several positions. There was a chance I could've won the championship but it slipped away and we finished 7th I believe, after a DQ in tech sounds like 6th.

I've been trying to process everything. This has been a comeback year for me after a horrible 2025 inside and outside of racing. So the fact that we got into the top 3 is amazing, but still I wanted to shoot for first. At the same time, however, I wanted to see the kid win it as well. I like supporting our friends, but I also wanted the win to.

I did what I could with the set up we had. Conditions changed, 5 extra laps were added to turn it into a 30 lap race, I tried my best. We had cautions, I started on the outside to much, thats just racing.

Although I am disappointed and frustrated we didn't win it, seeing a video of the first and second place points finishers (both son and father) hugging in victory lane put a tear in my eye and made me happy for them. Seeing friends do good, even when you compete against them, is what this sport is all about.

Thank you Joey and Zac Fraser for the assistance on championship night. You guys have learned a lot about these cars and ive learned a thing or 2.

The camera didn't record the whole race but it did record most of it. The ending of the video was several laps before the end of the race.

Some more posts are in order this week to clean up and clarify some things for both the remainder of the year and going into 2027.

This was a good comeback year, and I thank you for being part of our story in 2026.

Saturday we had a great race and a great setup. Car was fast. I won my heat race and started 5th in the feature race. We quickly made our way up to 2nd place and closed the gap on the first place car. We were right on the bumper of the first place car toward the end and finished 2nd. Good race overall. We look forward to championship night either this Saturday or Friday weather pending.
