Frosty Five Run/Walk

Frosty Five Run/Walk Studebaker Park Pavilion is where registration/ packet pickup will be for the run. 1020 McDonald, Elkhart IN on Saturday, February 14, 2026.

Race starts at 10:00 am for the 5K, and 10:05 am for the 5 Milers at the same spot! Formerly private land, the path leads from Studebaker park, alongside the river to the Elkhart Environmental Center and back. The 5K course is an out and back on a smooth fire trail-type path. The Mitten Mile is a loop course that explores a small island area! Perfect for younger children and walkers! Truly, this o

ne is worth doing to discover this much under-utilized area. First of all, it's a little off the beaten path. Second, at first glance, it's "just another" park. Nothing could be further from the truth. The Riverwalk Parkway is a hidden gem. Please come out and check this out. It's a destination path! February can be one of those months where the weather can start to get to you and it's hard to hold your motivation! Well, we can't control the weather, but we can control our attitudes! Let's gather outside for some fun and some gorgeous scenery!

Ran the Frosty 5K course this morning to check conditions. Was pleasantly surprised! :) Here are the photos today. I know we have more snow coming but also a couple of warmer days to melt things down... Today it was very runable. Enjoyable- did not feel treacherous.

It is cold, and on a scale of 1-10 where 1 = super wimp and 10= Elmer with no shirt, I am a 0.

Two layers on the legs, 3 on top with jacket. Be sure to cover your neck and face. Consider hand and foot warmers. Will update after next snow.

Spikes? Let's see what happens when we get more snow.

Would love another opinion so chime in if you run this route this week. It does feel liberating to be outside!

Hope to see you all out there on Valentines Day. Finisher gifts for all- these are the new hats with the new logo...and we also have some with the other logo! Chip start this year! Yes, we are adding an additional timing mat!

The Jumbotron will be there at the start and finish playing those tunes! What a GREAT way to spend the morning -with those special people in your life!
