Liberty Christian is proud to share that Head Football Coach Jason Witten has accepted a position with the University of Oklahoma football coaching staff as the tight ends coach.
Over the past five years, Coach Witten has built a football program rooted in Christ-centered values, excellence, leadership, and community—leaving a lasting impact on our students, coaches, and Warrior family.
Coach Jason Witten shared:
“I am deeply grateful to the administration and Liberty community for their belief and trust in me to lead our boys as the head football coach.
Together, we were able to win championships, instill a culture of continuous improvement, and build a program that made all of us proud — both on and off the field.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives. I will always be a Liberty Christian Warrior.”
Dr. Blair McCullough, President of Liberty Christian, shared:
“Coach Witten is a truly godly leader whose unwavering character, integrity, and faith have left an enduring mark on our students and community. We are deeply grateful for the foundation he established and excited to see what lies ahead for Jason, Michelle, and their family.”
Athletic Director Randy Mayes added:

🏆 During his time at Liberty, Coach Witten led the Warriors to back-to-back state championships, multiple district titles, and national recognition, cementing Liberty Christian football as one of the premier programs in the state.
We are grateful for the Witten family’s investment in Liberty Christian and look forward to the bright future ahead for both our football program and the Wittens as they begin this exciting next chapter.
