Day 2 of State was a tough battle, but the Boyz showed plenty of grit! They finished the day 1-1 and now have one more fight ahead of them tomorrow to get in the championship.

I have no doubt they'll come out firing on all cylinders, ready to show everyone exactly what these Boyz are made of. The journey isn't over yet!

Day 1 of the USSSA State Tournament was a success, as the Boyz went 2–0 against some tough competition. They played great ball all day, and the hotel even let them enjoy some extra time in the pool after hours to relax and celebrate.

Now it's time to carry that momentum into today. Hopefully, the Boyz can keep it rolling, pick up two more wins, and continue their tournament run.

Here are a few more photos from the weekend!

A special shoutout to Bentley Morrison for hitting the first-ever Elgin Boyz grand slam home run, and to Foster Iams for pitching an outstanding game. Both accomplishments were exciting moments for the team and something these young athletes should be proud of.

If you see these Boyz around town, be sure to congratulate them, not only for their dedication to the sport, but for the way they represent Elgin. Throughout the weekend, I received multiple compliments about their behavior, sportsmanship, and the respect they showed.

As coaches and parents, those compliments mean just as much as any win. We are proud of the players they are becoming and the character they continue to display every time they put on an Elgin uniform.

The Boyz battled hard this weekend against some tough 14U competition. Their determination, resilience, and refusal to quit were everything a coach could ask for. I love seeing them step onto the field with a "never give up" attitude and fight until the final out.

We may not have brought home any hardware this time, but watching these young athletes compete with heart and character was worth more than any ring. I'm proud of every one of them.

The Elgin Boyz did it again this weekend bring home some hardware! Battled all the way through and came out on top in the championship game! What a way to show resilience, heart, and straight-up grit.

Huge thank you to the coaches and parents who stepped up while I am away for work. I watched every moment and couldn’t be prouder of this team and the fight they showed.

Way to handle business, Boyz!!! Championship mentality all the way! 💪🏆

Elgin Boyz 8U tryouts for the 2027 Spring Season have officially been scheduled! We’re excited to announce that Coach Michael Ferguson will be leading this young squad, and we can’t wait to see everyone out on the field!

If you’re unable to make the scheduled tryout date, please reach out directly to Coach Ferguson.

Kids must attend Elgin Public school system.

What to Bring:
• Baseball attire
• Water bottle
• All personal baseball equipment

Here are some awesome action shots of the Boyz from this weekend in Midwest City! Proud of the way these young men continue to grow, compete, and mature both on and off the field. The hard work is showing every weekend!

🔥 Players of the Week 🔥

⚾ #42 Foster Iams
Dominated on the mound with 8 scoreless innings, 6 strikeouts, and 0 walks allowed. He also stayed hot at the plate, batting an incredible .600 for the weekend!

⚾ #2 Bentley Morrison
Stepped up big time by pitching one game and catching two back-to-back. Finished the weekend allowing just 1 earned run while recording 4 strikeouts and only 1 walk.

Great job, Boyz! Keep grinding and getting better every game! 💪⚾
