The weather may be cooling down, but the swimming fun continues at The Centre of Elgin! 💦

Our November 2026 Open Swim Calendar is here, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy some indoor aquatic fun with family and friends!

📢 Schedule Update: Our previous post accidentally omitted Friday evening Open Swim. Friday Open Swim is available from 4:00 to 8:30 p.m. on November 6, 13, and 20 as well as December 4th. We apologize for the confusion!

Regular Open Swim Hours:

Sundays: 12:00 to 4:30 p.m.

Mondays: 4:00 to 5:45 p.m.

Wednesdays: 4:00 to 5:45 p.m.

Fridays: 4:00 to 8:30 p.m.

Saturdays: 12:00 to 4:30 p.m.

Special Schedule Changes:

Monday, November 2: 12:00 to 5:45 p.m.

Tuesday, November 3: 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.

All other Tuesdays: No Open Swim

Thursday, November 26: Closed for Thanksgiving 🦃

Friday, November 27: Lap Swim Only, 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. No Open Swim or Tot Swim.

🐠 Tot Swim for Our Littlest Swimmers!

Bring your little ones for some splash-filled fun! Tot Swim is designed for children ages 5 and younger accompanied by an adult.

Thursdays and Fridays: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Resident Children: $7

Nonresident Children: $8

Accompanying adults are FREE and must be in the water.

Tot Swim will not be offered November 26 or 27.

Regular Open Swim Admission:

Elgin Residents:

Ages 3 to 17: $10

Ages 18 to 61: $10

Ages 62 and older: $9

Nonresidents:

Ages 3 to 17: $15

Ages 18 to 61: $15

Ages 62 and older: $13

Children under 3 swim FREE during regular Open Swim!

Looking for a fun way to move, learn something new, and make some noise? Centre Dance's Teen & Adult Tap class is the perfect place to start!

Whether you're new to tap or looking to brush up on your skills, this class is all about learning, having fun, and dancing without the pressure of performing!

Time: 12:00 to 12:45 p.m.

Ages: 13 and older

Little feet, big moves, and plenty of smiles! Our fall dance classes are a great way for young dancers to explore movement, build confidence, and discover the joy of dance.

Before they were Centre Preschool teachers...they were little learners too! 💛

We’re taking a fun trip down memory lane with some familiar faces from our Centre Preschool team. Long before they were creating activities, singing songs, reading stories, and making special memories with our youngest participants, they were preschoolers too!

Fall is here, but the water is still warm! Check out our October Open Swim schedule at Adventure Island @ The Centre of Elgin.

🏊 Regular Open Swim Hours
- Mondays: 4:00-5:45pm
- Tuesdays: No Open Swim
- Wednesdays: 4:00-5:45pm
- Thursdays: No Open Swim
- Fridays: 4:00-8:30pm
- Saturdays & Sundays: 12:00-4:30pm

📅 Special Hours: Monday, October 12, Open Swim will be available from 12:00-5:45pm.

🛟 Tot-Swim is also available every Thursday and Friday from 10:00am-1:00pm for parents/guardians and children ages 5 and under. Adults are free but must be in the water, and admission for children is $7 Resident / $8 Non-Resident.

We were proud to celebrate the launch of Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association (NISRA)'s LIFE Program at The Centre with a ribbon cutting!

LIFE—Leisure Increases Freedom and Enjoyment—helps young adults build independence, connections and everyday life skills through recreation, fitness, cooking, volunteering, community outings and more.

We’re excited to welcome NISRA and LIFE participants to The Centre and see all that’s ahead!
