Both the QData link and the full catalog for the 2026 TQHA Annual Yearling Sale are now available at the Texas Quarter Horse Association website. Catalogs are being printed now and will be mailed out in the next few weeks. This year’s sale will be held once again at the Freeman Exhibition Hall in San Antonio, Texas on Friday July 24th and Saturday July 25th. Sale start times both days is 10:00 AM. A total of 420 Accredited Texas Bred Yearlings are cataloged in this the 29th Annual sale. All yearlings that pass through the sale ring will be eligible for the 2027 $200,000 Added TQHA Sale Futurity (RG1). Also many of the yearlings in this sale have been nominated to the 2027 $75,000 Added Texas Breeders Futurity which this year had a total purse of $541,000.

Prior to the start of each session TQHA will be auctioning off breedings to help fund the TQHA PAC. On Friday you can bid on a breeding to Hawkeye, This Is An Eagle, Kiss My Maruska and Mystic Paint. On Saturday you can bid on a breeding to Jess Good Candy, KJ Mucho Macho Man, Kiss My Hocks and Dulce Sin Tacha. And of course a huge THANK YOU to those folks that donated these breedings!!!

There will also once again be a FREE consigner and buyer Bar-B-Que on Thursday, July 23rd starting at 4 PM. This year’s Bar-B-Que is sponsored by Rigby Equine and SLC Racing, LLC.

If you have a yearling consigned to the 2026 TQHA Annual Yearling Sale, make sure all your paperwork is turned in and that the health requirements are adhered to.

The 2026 TQHA Yearling Sale is scheduled for July 24th & 25th at the Freeman Expo Hall in San Antonio, Texas. The sale starts both days at 10 AM. There are 420 Accredited Texas Bred yearlings in the catalog and every one of them that goes through the sale ring will be eligible for the 2027 $200,000 Added RG-1 TQHA Sale Futurity. The catalog pages are being finished up and should be sent to the printer this week with catalogs hitting the mail around the third week in June. The QData Online catalog as well as a copy of the regular catalog pages should be on the TQHA website by early next week.

If you are attending the sale and plan on writing a check for your purchase you need to fill out and send in the Request To Purchase By Check or Solicitud Para Comprar Con Cheque form located at https://www.tqha.com/events/annual-yearling-sale/ This needs to be sent into the TQHA offices by no later than July 20th. The form needs to be filled out in its’ entirety. You can mail it in to the address on the form or email it to [email protected] or [email protected].

***New for 2026*** TQHA will be offering Online Bidding via DVAuction. There are strict timelines and processes for being eligible to participate in the Online Bidding. The May sustaining lists for the Texas Classic Futurity, Texas Classic Derby and Purina Feeds Texas Classic Oaks are now posted on the TQHA website. The next sustaining payment is due June 15th. It is $400 for each race.

Payments must be postmarked by June 15th. If you are making the payment from your THP Account you need to contact the THP at 512-467-9799 by June 15th. If you want to make your payment over the phone with a credit card please call 512-458-5202.

Payments can also be made online with a credit card by clicking on the link https://bigsky.formstack.com/forms/tqha_racing_payments

If you did not pay into the Texas Classic Races and want to pay in late the total to pay in is $5,050 by June 15th.

The May lists for the Sires Cup Futurity and Sires Cup Derby are now posted on the TQHA website. The next sustaining payment is due June 15th. It is $350 for each race.

If you did not pay into the Sires Cup Futurity or Derby yet and want to pay in late the total to pay in is $2,000 by June 15th.
