July and August have been quite eventful with a new CFIG in the club and a freshly minted glider pilot, with new ships, lots of smoke and firefighters giving a show every day 😎

Air is still crystal clear, might not be for long due to forest fires...

Super strong day. 4 ships wandering deep in the Cascades, surfing monster cloud streets, dodging hail, making distance with almost no circling!

Mt Stuart and Alpine Lakes area is a favorite playground. Fun challenge to get to, views are unmatched and thermals are 10kt to the cloud base, and it is within the glide range to Pangborn in case lift shuts off.

Last day of flying in 2025 season. Geoff and Alex took Lark for a refresher with Darrell doing tow and Vitek, Mark and Tyler helping on ground. Chilly but still beautiful up there! Followed by a traditional hangar-flying afterparty :)
